BASICS

"Our local group does as much as we can to keep this little island habitable."

About and Special Tasks

String was created by the ancients to study plants and various flora, as well as making sure the plant life around his can is perfectly in tact. String has many abilities to manipulate plants and change them into something new, or even create new plant life. The plant life he creates can vary from being hostile, to being passive or even scared of the player. Alongside this, String documents the plants actions towards many creatures, and searches for the solution through said actions towards plants.

Special Interactions

Last String of Life has a few interesting interactions with the slugcat depending on how they treat String. Here's the ones I have written down:

STORY

Ancient Relationship

Last String of Life's creators were very nature based, and think that they shouldn't intervene with altering creatures or nature itself. The created String in an attempt to keep that peace, and to research the local plants for the solution. Overall, they remeined on good terms with String, with many even having a crush on String's puppet, calling him cute and such. His Prime Administrator found this funny, while String did not. String tried his best to ignore his creators silly crushes, but sometimes the ads projected from his overseers come in every once in a while to taunt him of his past.

•String's structure is modified to be able to handle plants all throughout his structure as he was made to reasearch plants. Over the course of time, his structure became over-run with plants, carrying vines in nearly every room, even reaching to the outside. String can still feel most of his structure, but his Shattered Arrays is numb to most feelings.

•One of String's unique structure subregions is called The Greenhouse. This area is made especially for plants, and is almost entirely taken over by them. Many vines climb the walls, and other various flora is found throughout this subregion.

•The next subregion of String's structure is called Rundown Exterior, which functions like Five Pebbles leg and wall subregion. Vines are present in this region, but not as many. A few electrified roots are found here, but it is not as present as Shattered Arrays. There is also an echo present here, which is named 'Thirty Flowers Blooming, Five Blossoms Decaying'. This was String's prime administrator.

•One of the more difficult regions of String's structure to navigate is the Sattered Arrays. This region has a large electrified roog going through it. This electricity turns on and off periodically, turning the electricity of the root on and off as well, which influences all of the electrified roots throughout his structure.

•The last subregion of String's structure is the Memory Conflux, which is covered in vines. There isn't much to note here, but there is an Amethyst colored pearl found here.

Story so far

Amalgamation:

Amalgamation came in, but didn't stick around too long. Despite the short time, String has grown slightly attached, watching Amalgamation with an overseer to make sure their journey is safe.

DESIGN

  • Many of String's patters are decals put on by his creators instead of paint or part of the body.
  • String's structure is able to sustain plant life and plant growth far more easily than other iterator structures due to Gaia's views.
  • String has vines that are growing through his structuture, and growing through his puppet's chamber.
  • String's name, "Last String of Life," is based off an old poem about greens , blues, and purples, which is where String's colors came from.
  • Many of the lines throughout Strings design is inspired by face and body paint that I've seen pictures of.

MISCELLANEOUS

LIKES

  • Plants, and new kinds of flora to be found.
  • Jokes, odd humor, annything related to making others laugh.
  • Purple, especially purple cloth.
  • The ocean, and hearing Tides ramble about it.
  • Any plant themed nicknames his local group gives him.

DISLIKES

  • Most creatures stumbling into his structure. It's too dangerous for them there.
  • Scavengers.
  • Monster Kelp.
  • The evergrowing plants throughout his structure.
  • Tree zappers.

TRIVIA

When the player reaches him, he greets them with open arms. However, if hostility is shown to him, String will say "That's not very nice of you." If hostility continues, he will kill the player as he does not tolerate hostility of any kind. This also includes any scavengers or anything that happen to come in, as if they attack him, he won't let them stay for very long.

String's favorite plant is popcorn plants and popcorn stalks. His structure is the only Group Alpha area to have popcorn plants around.

Strings ancient city, Gaia, has a glass dome covering the top of it. Due to this glass dome, Gaia is littered with plants breaking down the city components, and turning it into a greenhouse area.

String has a strong dislike for Monster Kelp. This is because he finds them creepy and unnerving due to how they sit idly.

String is a fan of bioengineering as he often does it himself! The only difference is that String does bioengineering with plants rather than animals. He does enjoy watching how the interactions go between animals and plants alike.
