Finchpelt is kind-hearted and socially awkward, so the mix tends to get him a little flustered. He tends to have trouble making genuine connections, so he covers it with how caring he is and pretends he knows which cats are truly his friends.

He was born to a pair of rogues, but he never got to know his father because he was killed by a dog. When he became older, Finchpelt's mother pushed him away from her and urged him to live his own life instead of staying with her. For the first few moons, he struggled until he found Melodyclan.
