Ella is a Glaistig who is trying to redeem herself of her past by being a "good person". She's finding it hard to learn more productive habits and not wreaking havoc onto human civilizations. She thought that by surrounding herself in the company of normal people, she would learn how to conduct herself but it's proving more difficult than she originally anticipated.

History
Formerly a bloodthirsty and vengeful spirit, Ella has more recently taken to trying to become a more benevolent creature. In the distant past, she took to terrorizing human villages, relishing in the act of killing. What drove her to the act? She was never sure, it just seemed to be an integral part of herself and her identity that she didn't stop to think about - until now.
Centuries of torture and murder have become almost boring and standard to her, and she's decided to change things up by trying to join society and hide her former identity as a bloodthirsty monster. At some point, it evolved from her trying to cure her boredom to her genuinely thinking about changing her nature for the better. She moved again once more to a new town to make a new attempt (after messing up some in her old town (she tried to integrate with a human town - didn't work)) within a monster-filled town so she can take baby steps.
This point is when she met and joined with Sophie's gang, who she initially thought would help her in her quest to become a better person. However, unbeknownst to her, their supposedly benign natures didn't line up with their actual personalities at all, and they were twisted in their own ways. They might not be outright violent, but they know how to mess with people. Ella doesn't know whether to stay or to go, but she knows no one in this town and is slightly worried about her social life being crippled by the gang if she chooses to exit peacefully.

Cecil
[ Friend ] Ella secretly doesn't like Cecil that much because she thinks she's too dramatic about losing her dress since it's been such a long time at this point. Cecil somewhat senses this and tries to stay cheerful around Ella but it kind of just brings her down even more.
Sylvia
[ Friend? ] They kind of don't like each other what can I say! Ella thinks Sylvia is hard to read and Sylvia thinks that Ella is extremely and unbearably boring.
Sophie
[ Friend ] Ella and Sophie are probably the most similar to each other, but Sophie doesn't 100% know this because Ella is good at hiding her more twisted side. Ella's a little jealous that Sophie gets away with a lot more than Ella ever would, but Sophie is craftier than Ella, and is also good at analyzing her targets. Ella looks up to Sophie as an ideal woman.
