Sylvia is the Fairy Queen. The title, being hereditary from mother to daughter, dismayed all fae-kind when it fell to young Sylvia, who had already built up quite a reputation about being a lazy good-for-nothing who would rather sleep all day than do the task of ruling the kingdom. The beloved former Queen, knowing her own daughter and foreseeing that she would crash the kingdom down within a week, let all of the advisors know what to do in case of her untimely (or timely) demise.
As such, Sylvia has basically no power and that's the way she likes it. She can spend the day doing whatever she wants without having to worry about "official" tasks aside from formal meetings with other members of royalty or alliance members (where she does no talking but just smiles and looks pretty). She shows up to tea parties for the good food and the good gossip. She doesn't participate much, just eating and then taking a nap somewhere.

Character
History
Sylvia was a mother's girl through and through, used to being doted on by her kind and gentle mother. After her passing, Sylvia couldn't bear to be around the faerie kingdom, where everything reminded her of her own mother. Her normal responsibilities were passed onto a council which took to overseeing the general day-to-day affairs of the task of running a kingdom. To pass the time, she bounced from royal group to royal group, attending different outings with other royals who weer bored. However, they were still stiff and proper, which she couldn't bear to handle with her laidback nature. Hiding her identity as the Faerie Queen, she went to attend parties held by lesser beings, much to the shock of her kingdom's people.
At one such party, she met with Sophie, who she found amusing with her terrifying social presence and attitude. Sylvia decided to stick with her to learn more about gossip that doesn't reach the ears of people in her position. Through Sophie, she meets and gains a friendship with Cecil who she truly pities and actually tries using her connections (secretly) to aid her.

Sophie
[ Friend ] Sophie doesn't quite understand Sylvia, but she accepts her nonetheless. Sylvia is mainly used as a backup presence if Sophie can't get her way with her commanding personality, but people will listen to Sylvia because of her high status. Sylvia doesn't mind this, as she knows it's for the good of the group (and she gets bribed with tasty snacks).
Cecil
[ Friend ] Sylvia and Cecil have a bizarre friendship but are weirdly understanding of each other. They just sit in silence enjoying each other's company while they each do their own thing.
Ella
[ Friend? ] They kind of don't like each other what can I say! Ella thinks Sylvia is hard to read and Sylvia thinks that Ella is extremely and unbearably boring.
Sylvie
[ Friend ] Sylvie and Sylvia are two completely different personalities who mesh together extremely well surprisingly. Whether their relationship is more like sisters or mother and daughter (people guess either one), Sylvie is definitely more of the responsible one between the two even though she's many years younger than Sylvia.
