Destiny is a relaxed, happy Pokemon. Having been born blind, she was left by her mother but found by Naomi and taken care of. She and Naomi are as close as they come and Naomi has helped Destiny learn to function easier with her disability. Destiny loves physical affection and will often fall asleep curled up with Naomi, Finnley, or Echo--or all three!

Personality

Destiny only wants to be the best Pokemon she can be for Naomi. She does her best to be helpful and uses her powers to help her get around despite her blindness. She enjoys being guided by Echo and has come to rely on her more since their middle evolutionary stage. Destiny adores physical affection and often shows such affection to the others in the group. When she receives affection without asking, she is positively elated. Destiny has a very high capacity for empathy and likes to see the best in people and pokemon alike.

Background

Destiny was born blind. Her mother believed that she would not last because of how much help she needed and how little help her mother could provide alongside her other children, so she soon abandoned Destiny in the woods. Destiny wandered for a couple days, searching for food and water but having no luck in either. She feared that she would die alone and afraid in the woods, not knowing what had happened.

Thankfully, Naomi was there to rescue her. Naomi had been planning on running away from home when she came across Destiny. Seeing that she was blind and in need of help, Naomi abandoned her plans and took Destiny home with her. She raised the little Fennekin for several years until they left together on an adventure. Destiny had grown used to Naomi’s presence and learned how to listen for sounds rather than rely on sight and was fairly independent.

After about half a year of travel, they came across a Ninetails with only eight tails. Naomi tried to befriend her to no avail, but the Ninetails seemed to grow attached to Destiny immediately, so she stuck around. Destiny enjoyed the company but still wanted the Ninetails to like Naomi too, since they’re so close. It took time, but the Ninetails—later named Finnley—grew used to Naomi too. Destiny and Finnley were inseparable as Destiny grew older.

More pokemon joined the team, and Destiny especially grew close to a Ralts who Naomi named Echo. They were incredibly close as Echo was deaf, and Destiny was blind—but they still managed to communicate to one another through their psychic abilities. Even when Destiny evolved into a Braixen, they remained close.

One day while traveling, a storm hits, and everyone rushes to a pokecenter for shelter. However, in the rush to get to shelter, Destiny got lost and left behind. Echo rushed out to find her when everyone realized at the center. The storm raged around them and as Echo searched desperately, she had a vision of the future where she saw Destiny getting hurt by a falling tree in the storm. When she found Destiny, she arrived in time to see the tree beginning to fall. With panic, she evolved into a Kirlia to be fast and strong enough to get to Destiny in time to pull her out of the way and save her. They were inseparable from that point onward and evolved into their final forms together.
