I'm using her in RPs now, and yet it's taken years for her to get her own page, wtf XD

Tamarie Hathaway is a human cleric around 18 years old, 9 years younger than her half-brother Tarren. She and Tarren have the same mother, a human woman who had a brief affair with an elven lord. Her father is Ronald Hathaway, the mayor/lord/Dude In Charge of Waterdeep, a rich and powerful human man with a deep deep grudge against the non-humans. The city was divided into two districts - one where the rich humans could live in luxury, and one where the half-humans could do their own thing in less-maintained parts of town.

Tamarie grew up in a stifling, overly sheltered environment, only receiving true affection from her brother before he grew old enough to kick out. From childhood, she was raised and trained to essentially be a bride prize, to be married off to some other nobleman that her father would eventually pick out for her. She was never directly involved with the politics her father got involved with, though she managed to listen in secret enough to form her own opinions anyway. She never expressed these opinions, though, for fear of repercussions.

After Tarren got removed from the town and began travelling, Tamarie would occasionally sneak a letter out to him. Sometimes when she knew he was in the area again, she would sneak out of her manor in the night and head to the "half-breed" part of town to meet up with him. On the night he arrived with his traveling party, though, she was caught, and it led to a whole confrontation with her father's men. It ended fairly quickly, though, thanks to a group of characters belong to a friend enabling a mass exodus of all the non-humans from Waterdeep via ship, up to a new settlement in the Far North all about accepting outcasts. Tamarie wound up on this boat as well, moving in with her brother and leaving her father for good.

Tamarie has almost no experience with life outside of Waterdeep. Combined with never being allowed to express opinions of her own, this has led to her being kind of a doormat. She seems fine when she's talking to Tarren, or a friend she's close with, but around new people she lapses into near-complete silence and lets Tarren do all of her talking for her in a borderline co-dependent fashion. She functions as a Cleric, able to use stronger healing magic than her brother, not well-equipped for melee combat. She also has like two levels in Bard, so whenever Tarren breaks out his guitar and starts singing, she's able to pull out her ocarina and play alongside him. She's still letting him take the lead, though, and would never be confident enough to perform on her own.
