Personality

Elyan is cold, hard, and cynical. He has no interest in spending time around other people beyond what is absolutely necessary, as he firmly thinks that no one has good intensions; they will always wish to hurt or exploit him. He doesn't view the world in terms of morality, as he's been forced to push such things aside. His world revolves around what must be done. If it must be done to accomplish his greater goal, then it will be done at all costs... Someone complicates this.

Background

He is of a noble background, but by now half of his years have been spent scraping by for survival as half has been spent in a palace. He's spent just as long stealing as he has being served, and it leaves him paradoxical in his actions. Some actions he wants to approach with utmost formality, while others he forgoes formality for the sake of efficiency and necessity.
