Beatrix is a member of the Freedom squadron that's located in the Undercity. She is, like most of her teammates there, rather new-- and yet, she's made Freedom her family, willing to risk anything and everything in order to help them tear D-SEC down. In particular, Beatrix is in an interesting position; she is the only member who still has her ID chip installed in her brain, albeit one that's been tampered with. This allows her to infiltrate D-SEC's ranks, where she works as a maid and cleaner to overhear their plans and operations and report them back to Freedom. However, still having her ID chip means that she runs the risk of being tracked, so the time she spends with her group is minimal, much to her own disappointment.
She is fiercely protective of Freedom, sometimes to the detriment of those around her. She treats newcomers with an abrasive harshness, always doubtful of their intentions until they prove themselves. Although she's difficult to get along with, however, she is a reliable person to know and always puts those she cares about above herself.

Beatrix gets herself hired in as a maid for D-SEC, which allows her to listen in on the company's conversation and view important or confidential documents. She uses this job to report her findings back to Freedom -- this is a very high-risk role that she plays.
She is perhaps Shire's greatest enemy after Shire joins Freedom, on account of not trusting a Dynatius to be honest or committed to their cause.
At one point, D-SEC will find out what she's been doing and interrogate her, leading to Freedom coming to her rescue and removing her ID chip at last.

The "171" on her cheek is a brand that was given to her when she was younger; a difficult life made her too temperamental, and she was handed over to an experimental "rehabilitation" facility meant to "fix" her. The brand was put on her upon her admission to the facility.
Although she is snarky and rude, everyone in Freedom appreciates her and enjoys her company, except for Shire.
While working, she acts very quiet and submissive so as not to draw attention to herself; she puts on a good performance, but often needs to vent about it later.
Beatrix is known to be a bit of an arsonist when she has the ability to.
