As a teenager, Hector did fan-made comics on Tumblr, and took part in fan-dubs. It was on that very site that he met his girlfriend, Sage. Sage would lend her voice to some of Hector's comic dubs. The two bonded over shared interests and over being trans POC folk. The two shared a long distance relationship, and Sage eventually moved in with Hector. The two currently share an apartment.
