| Personality | Meek and gentle, Squeakyheart always felt like an undeserving burden to others since she didn't get enough attention as a kit. Shy, she was drawn to other low-key cats. While she did not want to be demanding, Squeakyheart had a desperate need for love and understanding that led her to be prone to expressing her emotional dependency in unhealthy ways. She also had a hard time being someone her friends could rely on in turn, and often did small favors for them to feel better about herself. Feelings of inadequacy would only make things worse for everyone. She appreciated her clanmates, and loved to hang out, even though she didn't play much due to her lung issues. As a StarClanner, she is trying to work through things for her inner peace, but sometimes feels jealous. | |
| History | Squeakyheart was allegedly found by SurfClan's medicine cat after StarClan had given her a sign that there was a kit in danger. In truth, it was the medicine cat who'd given birth to her after an unprofessional attempt to cheer up a depressed patient, Pondslush. The warrior had been convinced to stay quiet about his relation to the kit as well, so she was parentless in the nursery. While unaware that she was her mother, she talked to Treebough a lot as she had asthma to medicate, and because the medicine cat served as a therapist (albiet not a very good one) to her clanmates. She was too young to question why the medicine cat always doted on her so much. She latched onto her mentor Birchnest once she was assigned to him. He was an attentive mentor, and understood that she needed friends her age, so he encouraged his kits, who were a moon her junior, to spend time with her. Wishpaw's personality was too loud, and Pitpaw had a lot of issues, so she didn't get very close to them, but she did bond a lot with Swallowfur, who, unbeknownst to her, was taking catmint from Treebough to relax enough to be able to talk to her. As she felt safe around her, Squeakyheart often let Swallowfur about all of her negative feelings and secrets, and the two got into a relationship that was too serious and dependant for Swallowfur. The other apprentice felt very burdened; even with the catmint, Swallowfur needed to take time alone. She was injured while alone on a walk, and developed a poppyseed dependance during her recovery. Around when Squeakyheart got her warrior name, Swallowfur suggested taking a break from their relationship, trying to get her bearings. She still hung out with the apprentices, but they were attacked, taking the lives of Wishpaw, Pitpaw, and Squeakyheart. As a member of StarClan, Squeakyheart now knows her parentage and of Swallowfur's secrets. She can't help but to feel jealous at the warrior's continued life and recovery from the events of their childhood, but she is still fond of her. She's closer with Pitpaw and Wishpaw since they all died together. | |
