Kyan

Kyan hails from a very infamous family in the magical circuit: the Driscoll family. Ill-famed for their dabbling in the forbidden artes many-a-year ago, the Driscoll family have copious secrets, but what is known to the public is their dark past of human experimentation, necromancy, hemomancy and other such prohibited acts. Of course, as of now the Driscoll family no longer follow such dark practices, however the lineage continues to plague all members of the bloodline and their associates. Kyan is no exception.

For years no student of Driscoll blood was allowed in the prestigious Valiente Institute of Thaumaturgy. However, due to the schools newest inclusivity policies, Kyan was allowed a place on a scholarship. He is, of course, relentlessly followed by gossip and rumours due to his well-known origins and he is thus rather disliked by both his peers and many of the schools tutors. While such things are a little disheartening, it was very expected and Kyan often plays into these stereotypes. He uses his staff as a channelling medium for magic and there is debate if the head of it is a real skull or not. Kyan has used the staff for many other things, including but not limited to: a weapon, a golf club, a baseball bat.

despite the rougher exterior, Kyan is a rather protective and emotionally driven person. He holds a close relationship to his family members, of which he lives with many of them. He is closest to his four younger sisters and wishes to secure the best possible future for them. Among his peers, one who has unsettled him many times is Perseus Dupre, mostly because of some odd questions he's asked him in the past or things he has raised in classes. However, Kyan was never that suspicious of him, more like a little vexed of him and his popularity. However, when classmate Allister Magic witnessed something he certainly shouldn't have things changed. Despite having rather disliked Allister in the past, Kyan was not really all that hesitant to believe what was alleged... And now they have a common enemy.
