SUMMARY
A shy mage who dislikes using magic. She's not just timid, she's downright aloof to anyone she doesn't know, and won't speak unless spoken to. She knows it's not polite, but she prefers being judged for that than for any personality that might leak out. She's actually deeply caring and sweet, with a fun sense of humour that only her closest friends get to see.
Being blessed with three magical abilities in a world where most only have one, or two if they're lucky, her magically-inclined village put a lot of pressure on her to become a powerful mage. She choked on the pressure and developed a fear of using magic as a result. She lived in isolation until, one fateful day, her Air magic teacher introduced her to her best friends, Laerya and Akorri.
She currently travels around Vistus with them and her other best friend, Shady the dragon, and is slowly trying to gain control of her magic so that one day she can use it to help her friends.
PERSONALITY
Unless you've known Jinny for months, or been stuck in an elevator with her for one, you won't know Jinny at all. For her, words are a precious commodity. She speaks with actions, and even then you cannot see them until she gives you permission. She's your local stray spurned by past experiences. If you can get past her fortress, you have her unconditional love. There's a whole other person in there, patient, attentive, passionate, you name it. There's a softness to her, like that of a lone flower blooming atop a snowy mountain.
Her stoic front's a leftover defence mechanism she just can't seem to shake, but it's actually much easier to crack than she thinks... unfortunately you're more likely to get her hostile side without even trying too hard. She believes showing emotion to people she doesn't know is weakness. She's playful and friendly, sure, but not to strangers, oh no. Strangers are scary, you know? No telling what they might say, or what their words really mean...

BIOGRAPHY
Jinny was born in a village called Greenglade, in the Havran region. Because she was born with the ability to control three elements as opposed to just one, the people of Greenglade expected her to grow up to be a powerful mage. However the pressure from the entire village weighed down on Jinny's conscience and ended up stunting her growth as a magic user; in response to their demands, she withdrew into herself and became terrified of using her magic in case she disappointed her people.
She spent years in self imposed isolation, refusing to have nothing but the most basic conversations with the villagers, too afraid to reach out in case they rejected her. She did not get along well with her parents either since they were not very supportive. Her only friend was a dragon named Shady who she kept secret from the rest of the village. She lived a life in stasis until Laerya and Akorri came to visit Greenglade. They took an interest in her, and once she realised they did not look down on her for not using her magic, she opened up to them and they became friends. After the various highs and lows they experienced in Greenglade, she decided to leave the village and travel with them.
"Get ready, Greenglade. You're in for a real treat." The main story. Intrigued by her friend Fericeus's offer to study magic in the peaceful village of Greenglade, Laerya and her assigned companion Akorri set out to visit this magical haven. However things are never that simple with Laerya, and the two find themselves forming new friendships and testing old ones as they are caught up in events they never would have expected.
“We’ve been at this for like four months now and you still can’t handle heights?” Four months after the events of Vistus, Laerya and her friends embark on another adventure, making new friends, exploring the far reaches of their world, testing their bonds, and crossing swords with an old enemy.
RELATIONSHIPS
Akorri Lowe - Best Friend Jinny never imagined she'd have a best friend, but by some miracle, it happened. They met in Greenglade, when Akorri had accompanied Laerya on her quest to hone magic. She'd thought any potential acquaintance was over when he'd seen her break down after using magic, but after he stuck around, she finally opened up to the idea of actually becoming friends. She has a great amount of respect for him and admires his bravery, and constantly tries to make him see how great a person he really is. Their one on one hangouts, on the rare times Laerya isn't with them, are relaxed and quiet, which means more to Jinny than she can say. She still can't believe she's lucky enough to be best friends with someone like Akorri.
Laerya Lightningdancer - Best Friend Jinny met who she calls her polar opposite at the same time she met Akorri, in Greenglade. Laerya is everything Jinny isn't; brave, high energy, and maybe a little too kindhearted. It was these very traits that made her oddly easy to talk to, and Jinny found herself becoming friends with her without even realising it. Jinny looks up to Laerya, aspires to be like her, but she's okay with being the quiet shoulder for her to lean on, too.
Shady - Best Friend Despite being a dragon, a creature known for its solitary habits (or perhaps even because of this), Jinny managed to find a best friend in Shady. She found him injured in the forest outside Greenglade and nursed him back to health, and they became close as a result. Jinny appreciated having someone who listened to her, and found it easier to speak to him since he couldn't talk. He was her rock during her troubled time in Greenglade. The two of them are family, and incredibly protective of one another. If you threaten one, expect to face the wrath of the other.
Katarina Vatrica - Friend Jinny isn't entirely sure what her relationship with Katarina is, but she appreciates it. There's some complicated feelings there; due to Kat's doting personality and attentiveness, Jinny sees her as a maternal figure, but has a hard time coming to terms with it considering her lacking relationship with her actual mother.
