"Ya'll really need to step back and smell the flowers. "
― Sandya

Sandya is a prim, long furred tortie point. They are one of the Great Lions of the Sky who are worshiped by Eclipse Clan. They primarily deal with medicine and kittens.

Appearance

Sandya is a long furred, average height, dilute tortoiseshell point with blue eyes and a distinctive ruff around their neck. They are very fluffy and soft. They have a very distinguished gait, almost like they were born royalty in life. Sandya can be drawn with stars in their pelt and a blue glow as they're dead.

Personality

Sandya is considered the face of the Great Lions - bold, unafraid to say what's on their mind, and the most willing to interact with the cats of the clan. There's also a distinctive note of superiority in their voice. Sandya believes that as a Great Lion, they are superior to the living cats by a greater margin than typically thought. They also have a tendency to walk among the living cats and interact a lot with them. This is mostly for laughs though.

Sandya is unusually skilled with herblore for having been a warrior in life. They know what herbs are actually useful and how to keep someone from dying with what's around them. They have a bit of an internal duty to keep cats from dying early, so they're likely to show up and save you if there's no one else around.

Sandya is also not easily impressed. It takes a lot of dedication for them to praise you and even then it's probably going to be a bit backhanded and/or a bit underwhelming. They've seen so much in all their years. It'd take a miracle for them to actually smile at your accomplishments.

When it comes down to it, Sandya loves to toy with people by being annoyingly cryptic and not explaining enough. It's absolutely worth it to see the irritated look on someones face and know they can't react physically because Sandya isn't alive. It's got to be the most fun they ever have.

Sandya is also incredibly protective of the young, despite what one may think. Being deprived of the ability to have kittens in life really strengthened their parental insticts, so it's usually their fault when a new kitten arrives unexpectedly at Eclipse Clan.

Relationships

Marblestar thinks Menodora is a bit odd. Personally, she thinks that prophecies should come from a variety of cats rather than a single eccentric cat. However, Menodora has made her prophecies very clear. Plus she's very good at explaining non-prophecy things. So Marblestar has forged a really nice bond of friendship with the oracle. It's pretty great in her opinion. Lots of advice from Menodora, and friendship from Marblestar.

Has anyone heard the words "hero worship"? Because Marblestar thinks that Badar is the best thing since the evolution of the mouse. She thinks nothing of his skewed morality and tries to emulate it with her own twist. Badar loves being idolized, though it stresses him out because he doesn't want to be a failure in her eyes. Marblestar doesn't think she has that effect. When he shows up to teach her new things she often times ends up chattering his ears off. She does know when to shut up though. Just enough.

Out of all three Great Lions of the Sky, Marblestar has spent the least amount of time with Sandya. As such, she doesn't have very much of an opinion on them. After all, they know a lot about herbs and spend more time with the medicine cats. Why would she bother with that? Herbs are none of Marblestar's concern, aside from making sure that there's enough in the clan. Sandya thinks Marblestar is adorable and would like to be her ghostly parent but knows that she'd probably kill them again instead.

"Oh? Did you mean the love of my life?"
― Marblestar

Dawnglow and Marblestar are very, very close. They're mates after all. Despite Marblestar's neurotic and controlling tendencies, she has a very distinct soft spot for Dawnglow and treats them as an equal. She turns to them for help with decision making, and they always come at problems with a keen eye when she's overwhelmed with anxiety. Although the two bicker a bit, it's fairly common to see them deep in conversation. Dawnglow also has a tendency to fuss over Marblestar, making sure she's not stressing herself out too much despite being the leader. Marblestar appreciates it, even if she doesn't always feel like she needs it.

Marblestar and Moonriver are quite close friends. Moonriver's analytical attitude towards life is refreshing for Marblestar to deal with it, and it's not uncommon for the two to engage in friendly banter. Of course, Moonriver's relationship with Duststripe has Marblestar frustrated and stressing because "that's not how it's supposed to be!" even though those two have been together for a long time. This can cause lots of issues. Despite this, the two still enjoy spending time with each other.

Duststripe is probably the only cat of the first founders that Marblestar has a strained relationship. Although they're friendly with each other, Duststripe's emphasis on family and emotion is contrary to Marblestar's primary motives. They keep butting heads even though Duststripe is a pacifist. Despite this, Marblestar still places lots of trust in Duststripe, enough that she'll let her mentor her son. Marblestar has also helped Duststripe through her most difficult times. Duststripe is grateful for Marblestar's support.

Patchbelly and Marblestar and the epitome of gay/lesbian solidarity. They're close friends and are always up for a joke or two or a deep conversation. The best sort of friends you could ever have. The biggest of dorks.

Cherryblossom is Marblestar's adopted son. He's very much a pacifist and is very skilled at medicine and healing. Marblestar is very proud of him for following his dream even though she quietly wishes she'd pursue the path of a warrior so that he'd be more prepared in case he has to take over for her. Sometimes he thinks she doesn't love him but she does. She's just not that great at always showing it.

When they first met, Marblestar had a massive crush on Diamondglint, the gorgeous molly in front of her. It was a bit obsessive, though Diamondglint absolutely led it on. However, after intervention from a pissed off Dawnglow, they're just really good friends. They enjoy spending time together now as friends, and occasionally gossip about the rest of the clan.

There's something... off about Blizzardwatcher. Marblestar just knows it. She just can't quite put her paw on it. Blizzardwatcher tends to avoid them unless another kitten shows up. Another! What's up with that? At any rate, Marblestar keeps an eye on them and is very suspicious of everything they do.

Though Marblestar isn't particularly fond of toms as a concept, Alder is one of the exceptions. He's such a driven guy, and he's such a good dad! Marblestar feels really happy whenever she watches him playing with his kittens. Plus he's got a lovely voice. She's listened in on his stories many a time, and his voice soothes her troubled soul. She loves to talk to him whenever possible.

Though Marblestar is upset about their birth, she adores Shadowhunter. They're really useful and get so much done! Their snarky attitude does get on her nerves though. All the time. Plus, they don't always do what they're told. Gah! Stupid kitten. But hey, he's good with the puppy dog eyes and he's an absolute sweetheart the rest of the time.

Hickorysnarl is just an infuriating pessimist. Why is he like this? Could he please shut up and stop being such a grump for once? Marblestar usually sends Dawnglow to deal with whatever he's gotten into. One day that cat's going to bring a pack of foxes if he keeps on like this.
