| PERSONALITY |  | They say spite is a great motivator, and nothing could be more true for Lorelei. She's been spurned one too many times, and closed her heart to all but a select few; the rest can rot, for all she cares. And if they've slighted her, she'll make sure they do. She uses her rage as fuel and claws her way to the top, she lives and breathes ambition, and will forgo her own health to achieve her ends. Intimidation is her drug, and she's got the strength to back it up.
The thing is, she's not stupid enough to let it show. She values control above all else. She'll hide her poison in the wine glass of her smile, and unless she hates you, you'll never know what she's really thinking. She's not actively malicious, believe it or not; most of the time she'll leave you alone. And despite what many would call a rotten personality, she's secretly kind to those she cares for, and places a little too much value in their opinions. She places loyalty on a pedestal, and would sooner die than break the trust of those she's close to. She's pushed herself to the limits to destroy those she once called friends, and carries a weight that no one can lift. | BIOGRAPHY |
Lorelei grew up in the Greenglade village in Havran. She suffered terrible bullying for her underdeveloped magic abilities and was cast out by her peers, while the adults believed she would never amount to anything. Determined to prove them wrong, she studied and practiced her Dark magic intensively, ignoring her own needs in order to better her skills, all the while nursing a growing hatred for the village.
She was aided by her friend Fericeus until he realised how poisonous her thoughts had become and abandoned her. She left the village when she was able, but has never forgotten any of her experiences there. She continued to study magic after leaving, and despite most of Vistus keeping it under wraps, she managed to find out about necromancy... and eventually mastered it.
After Laerya and her friends put a stop to Lorelei's plans in Greenglade, she grew to hate them; she is determined to eliminate everyone who continues to oppose her, no matter who they are.
Due to her dabbling in necromancy, which is considered dangerous magic for a reason, she suffers regularly from nightmares, and her mental health's taken many hits over time. She's even lost control of her magic a few times, even though she tried so hard to master it growing up. Despite her walking on a tightrope, she doesn't intend to stop.

The main story. Intrigued by her friend Fericeus's offer to study magic in the peaceful village of Greenglade, Laerya and her assigned companion Akorri set out to visit this magical haven. However things are never that simple with Laerya, and the two find themselves forming new friendships and testing old ones as they are caught up in events they never would have expected.

Four months after the events of Vistus, Laerya and her friends embark on another adventure, making new friends, exploring the far reaches of of their world, testing their bonds, and crossing swords with an old enemy.

They were friends as children and both grew up in Greenglade. He saw her struggling with her magic and spent many days helping her reach her potential. For a long while, he was her only friend and solace in a sea of hell, until one day, he started distancing himself from her. She wondered what she'd done wrong, since Fericeus never explained himself, and before the relationship could even attempt to be repaired, he left her and the village for greater things. She grew to resent his silence, feeling betrayed by his actions; he never wrote her, even once. He left her alone to fend for herself in that rotten village. When they next met, years later, Lorelei had tried to destroy Greenglade, and Fericeus helped put a stop to her. There was no going back from that. She'll make him pay for his betrayal.
