History

Kristen's mother was a pretty famous magician, and Kristen wanted to be just like her. She trained up her powers and learned how to do things so she could be a magician just like her. She even went on to major in performing arts in college. One day she left home to go and try and make a name for herself, and became a wandering magician.

Kristen had a second motive in becoming a wandering magician though. As while she would like to settle down with her own theater to perform in one day, she also doesn't want to do that until she reaches her goal. What is that goal? Well, that goal is to reach the center of the world. The center of the reverse pangaea their Earth has become, believing the center to be the source of all the strange occurances and powers. Though, no one has ever gone to the center before. Well, at least not gone there and lived.

As Kristen got closer and closer to where she wanted to go, she met another strange cast of characters, ones also interested in her journey. And so Caiden, Makayla, and Gabriel soon ended up joining her for the trip. And while the group doesn't always get along the best, Kristen is grateful to have their company as she goes on this quest.

Kristen lives in a world where a few hundred years ago the entirety of the world started being pulled together by a mysterious force. All the continents were pulled to be pressed up against each other into one giant island, a reverse Pangaea of sorts.

As the continents started getting pulled together, strange phenomena started occuring. At first, it was just changes to environments that weren't natural. Rain in deserts, lakes starting to dry up. Then it got weirder, chunks of land would start to just float, or there would be very large versions of plants that are normally not that large, just as examples.

People started to speculate that whatever was in the center pulling the world together was the cause of this. Especially as it started manifesting in people and animals, where people would get strange and unique abilities to themselves. But even though it's supsected to be coming from the center of the world, no one's been there to prove it. Or at least...has never been there and lived.

Kristen's abilities manifested in magic like powers. And not like mage magic, more like a magician. She can control flames, making them dance or look like she's breathing fire. She can also teleport small objects, or make inanimate objects appear seemingly out of thin air. Because of her innate abilites she's went on to master the slight of hand techniques, what she needs to become a full fledged magician.

Except that...Kristen's powers don't control very well. It's been something that's been in her family for generations, and yet she can't seem to get a hold of them. Fire tends to get out of her control when she starts making the flames pretty large, or objects she makes tend to blow up in her face if she's not careful.
