Truman's parents were avid travellers and he grew up in a multitude of different countries. He is completely mute, and communicates through a combination of signs, gestures and writing on a notepad.

One calm evening, Truman and his little sister Lexi were walking in the park together. Without warning, a mysterious woman with red eyes and fangs attacked them, knocking Truman aside and dragging Lexi off. Because her body was never found, Truman became convinced that she was still alive and needed help. Nobody believed his suspicions that the woman had been a supernatural creature.

He embarked on a personal quest to find both his sister and the woman who had captured her. During his travels, he met Sandra and Lewis, a pair of vampire hunters working together. He joined them, hoping that closer association with the supernatural might lead him to his sister.

Truman is a confident person who, if he could speak, would probably be very loud. However, his condition doesn't stop him from commenting on anything he finds interesting, asking questions, and throwing brazen remarks. He likes making jokes at other people's expense and can occasionally come off as insensitive. He's also very perceptive, to the point of being able to instinctively tell when someone is lying.

Given Truman's lighthearted attitude and lack of speech, people often forget that he's capable of getting angry like anyone else. In fact, he can be frightening when he snaps and often vents his frustration on inanimate objects. However, he never loses control to the point of hurting another person. He's quick to seek revenge when his loved ones are wronged in any way - revenge that might be petty or serious depending on the situation.

Truman is very courageous, which serves him well as a vampire hunter. He can be a bit of a showoff and enjoys challenges. Around people he's very close to, he shows a more gentle and considerate side than normal.

His boss. They get along well and Truman respects her, though is often exasperated by her overly-serious personality.

One of Truman's colleagues in the hunter organisation. They're not exactly friends, but get along well and have known each other for a long time.

Samantha

Sam and Truman become close friends while working in the hunter organisation together, and lovers not too long afterwards.

DESIGN:

Truman has a tall, lean build, dark brown hair and hazel eyes. His hair is often spiked up - likely with gel - but in its natural state, it's soft and rumpled. He has a few minor scars, including one on his right wrist caused by an open fracture.

He usually dresses in casual, practical clothes.
