Sam is a laid-back, cheerful person who loves to have fun. She hates seeing people upset and will usually attempt to cheer them up, often by joking around. However, she is fully capable of taking things seriously, and is loyal and protective towards her friends. When she finds out that her best friend, Sandra, is running a vampire slayer group, she immediately wants to join up and help.

Sam is naturally sociable and always up for making new friends. She rarely gets intimidated by social situations - however, awkward silences are the bane of her life. She can't sit through a prolonged silence without feeling like she has to say something. For this reason, she may be less comfortable around very introverted people.
