Xinshu Tridel Qen

Family: He lives in the Solennian Royal Palace with his mother, his mother's brothers and sisters, and various cousins and other distant relations.  He's a part of one of the branch families of the Queen of Solennia, and there's never a dull moment.

Bio: Xinshu Tridel Qen is a solus Vinna, Dino, and Hooke stumble across once they’re in the Solennian capital.  Instead of questioning why they’re there, Xinshu assumes they're tourists and escorts them around, happy to talk about the city where he lives.  Soli aren't known for being particularly friendly to outsiders, so the party considers Xin's guidance a breath of fresh air...that is, until his mother finds out what he’s been doing, and tries to pull him away from them.

As it turns out, Xinshu is the Solennian "royal oracle," apparently blessed with future sight and a home inside the Solennian royal palace.  This reminds Vinna and Dino of their earlier time alongside Illia, but in comparison, the way Xinshu describes his visions makes them sound frequent, broad, and unspecific, while Illia's were few and far between, but full of details.  That's fine enough--soli are known to have psychic powers, so perhaps the way the two races prophesize is different?--but the party starts getting suspicious once Xin invites them to a tour of the palace itself.

At the palace, Xin's mother scolds him for bringing foreigners to the capital's holy sites, treating the party coldly, while simultaneously sucking up to the current queen.  Xinshu seems to be just a status symbol for her, yet he keeps passively obeying everything she tells him to do.  Vinna wants to focus on their current mission, but Dino and Hooke think something smells a bit toxic about Xinshu’s family…

Extra:

• While soli do often have psychic abilities, future sight is not normally one of them, which makes Xin extra special in the eyes of the Solennian public.
• His frequent visions take a toll on his body.  His mother tells him it’s because the mortal form can’t handle godly powers, and, well, it makes sense?
• His staff is a gift from his family.  He's had magic training, though not as intensive as the kind Illia has studied.
