Kaho

The lead vocals and guitarist of Zebra Stripe, Kaho is a bit of an impulsive person with a rebellious spirit. Though she's careless and bold on the surface, the truth is that she's hesitant to reach out for help as a result of doing things her own way for a long time. Due to her lack of patience, she has trouble planning ahead and focuses on immediate goals.

Having grown up with a rocky relationship with her parents, she's always had a habit of doing things behind their backs. While her upbringing was rather ordinary, it was stifling - it seemed like anything she wanted to do was shot down immediately, and any incidents at school just led her into being labelled a trouble child. As a result, she grew closer to her older cousin than with her immediate family.

One of her young inspirations was rock legend Hiro Igarashi; she often imagined herself crowd surfing like him, surrounded by fame and fortune. After immersing herself in rock music all throughout her younger years, she decided she wanted to become one of them as soon as possible. At the park she often frequented when she didn't want to return home, there was a homeless man who often played his acoustic guitar. Seeing absolutely no issues, Kaho asked him to teach her to play. Though he was of course reluctant, he agreed on the condition that she would play in his place and he would pocket most of the profit. And so Kaho learned, obsessively practicing when she got the chance to borrow his guitar and getting her hours in playing for the public. Though she wasn't making much, eventually she saved up enough to buy her own cheap acoustic and do her own street gigs. Later, she even got accepted to a few lowkey establishments to play for guests.

In highschool, she was a bit of a lone wolf - usually hanging out on the rooftop with her guitar and barely socializing with anyone. During one school performance, she caught the eye of Otohiko, a fellow student in her year. She was not fond of his pushiness as he insisted that he was going to open a business for musical acts in a few years, but she ended up keeping his business card anyway.
Once she graduated, she bought an entry-level electric guitar setup. She still uses this guitar fairly often, as it's covered in stickers and holds all sorts of memories. By this point, she realized that crowdsurfing is not much of a thing anymore and that her childhood dreams were pretty, well, childish. Still, she got accepted into music school and met Rui there, forming a guitarist rivalry until finding out that they're assigned as roommates. This relationship grew into a strong friendship, and after graduating from the music school they decided to form a proper band. To achieve this, they end up recruiting Suzy and Usui, and Kaho reluctantly contacts Otohiko. And thus begins the story of Zebra Stripe.

• She chose her own nick/stage name Kaho from Kanehira Houko. She just thinks it sounds cooler and more memorable.
  
• Has a tongue and earlobe piercings. Because she has a similar sense of style to Rui (and because they're roommates), she often borrows his clothes after a heavy ironing or shake.
• Has a crush on Suzy.
