DESCRIPTION

Apathetic, brash. Typically they take on a cool or stoic exterior due to the way they were built (if their emotions aren't in check, their system malfunctions). Over the years, Juliette has become better at doing this, but they still can be easily provoked by... certain people. Usually takes the more "logical" route when solving issues, even if it means people get hurt. Very headstrong and rarely likes showing weakness. They're highly intelligent, skillful with weapons, and extremely agile. Not quite superhuman in physical abilities, but they can withstand intense pressure, and is stronger than the average person. However, their arrogant attitude can sometimes cause them to become careless as a result.

Tall. Very slender but athletic build. Light blue-grey skin. Has various darker grey "plates" and bolts all over their body. Eyes are bright blue and have the ability to glow in the dark. Hair is in a short angled bob with an undercut; it's blue-brown. Usually looks pissed off (because they are).

Backstory

Originally, Juliette was supposed to be one of the ways to test the limits of AI technology. Several reasons were behind the rapid interest of technological advancement, but the Council was at the forefront of it all. Working on the project was Robert Chrome, a supposed prodigy in robotics.

During the project, Robert became both increasingly interesting in AI technology and frustrated with the lack of progress his team and him were making; therefore he decided to illegally take the project into his own hands. Simultaneously, Robert's fiancé, Annette, conveniently fell ill. Since Robert was hitting roadblock after roadblock with developing proper "personality software", Robert attempted to brain map Annette into the android so she would be "cured". Thus, Juliette was born.

The experiment was initially a success, albeit with only Annette's personality transferring over to Juliette, not her memories and consciousness. Overtime, Juliette began to have an increasingly difficult time handling their emotions. This caused Robert great distress, and failed attempt after failed attempt to get Annette back, he deemed the project a failure, and Juliette, a bastardization of the original. He ordered for a shutdown of the android and planned to quit robotics altogether.

However, Juliette overheard this. They decided to kill Robert, their one and only creator. In this attempt, Robert triggered an explosion in the facility, murdering most of the faculty. Juliette escaped in time, and went into hiding to recover from the accident.

Juliette's current whereabouts are unknown, but Robert is certain they are still alive.

Trivia

  • Inspired heavily by 1980s retro futurism, especially TRON; the techsuit they wear is referenced from TRON's own light suits. Other inspirations include GLaDOS (Portal), Shego (Kim Possible), Samus (Metroid), etc.
  • Techsuits are a durable suit designed to withstand intense testing and extremities such as weather, pressure, etc. They weren't invented by Robert, but he did improve them and make his own version(s). Usually these are worn by test subjects and by staff. Each suit has an identification tag for getting in and out of the building instead of lanyards. Juliette's techsuit is modified, as when they were an experiment, it would allow testing to be done easier.
  • Juliette is not a Standard model android, like the rest of the androids readily available to the public. Instead, Juliette is a mere prototype and the only one of their kind. Unlike Standard AI models, their energy depletion rate is slower and therefore they don't need to charge as much; their intelligence also far surpasses the average android as well.
  • Juliette isn't immortal and can "die", but their skin" is very hard to damage and very durable overall. However, they don't age appearance-wise.

Don't get it twisted- they hate him for not only lying to them, but also to the rest of humanity about her existence- that doesn't even count attempting to terminate them and him managing to survive the lab accident. Jules seeks to finish the job hopefully in the future. They have little regard for what happens afterward to the Council, however.

Vaguely knows of her because of Robert being in the press in the past. Has no personal vendetta against her, but simply sees her as inferior due to having a much simpler (and easily controllable) AI.
