Eislen did not let his cruel beginnings turn him into an equally cruel person. From the very start he has always been kind and yearned for kindness in turn. When his trainer first caught him he was eager to befriend the young man, and even as his abuse worsened and endured he still clung to the small gestures of kindness he would occasionally be granted, always wanting to believe that his trainer was genuine in his affection.
After his abandonment, his trust in others started to waver, but Nessie brought it blooming back in him like a wildfire. She restored any broken faith he had with her affection and generosity toward him and he made a promise to himself to never be the cause of any such broken feelings in anyone else.
FORM PMR-1014C: History known of dittech holder.
Eislen was fished out of a lake as a small recently hatched feebas, and the man who fished him up was eager to sell him to the first trainer he came across. His new trainer in turn was eager to turn him into a milotic as quickly as possible, but he rushed the process too much. The rapid forced evolution was too rough on his still developing body, and he came out of it frail and drastically undersized.
His trainer was disappointed, and then disappointment turned to frustration. In his stubborn determination to prove he hadn’t wasted all of his time and effort, his trainer sent him out into pokemon battle after battle against every trainer he challenged, and with each one Eislen suffered defeat after defeat. Eventually, his trainer gave up on him. Enraged that he’d put so much effort into a worthless pokemon, rather than store him in a pc or adopt him away to a new trainer, he abandoned his pokeball into a back alley while passing through Lumiose city- not even bothering to heal Eislen at a pokecenter first.
It was a long time before Eislen’s pokeball was found again. Months passed before it was discovered, having rolled underneath a dumpster and been lost to even the prying eyes of the city. It just so happened that the alley he’d been lost in was situated out back of a popular pokehuman night club, and eventually he was found by one of the employees and brought to the attention of the owner, Nessie.
She took him in and had her people offer him medical assistance, and during the course of that, introduced him to the concept and possibilities of dittechs. He was timid and unsure at first, but already he regarded Nessie as his savior and didn't want to be sent away, so he took the leap and accepted a dittech, as well as employment, from her.
Eislen currently works at The Abyssal Zone as one of Nessie's "BFF's" where he spends his days catering to the VIP guests of the club to ensure they have the best time they could possibly have. He is doted upon by Nessie and reveres her with adoration in return. She has been nothing but good to him since the day he was saved by her and he has done everything in his power to be sure to repay her by being the best he can while working at the club.
Occasionally he makes appearances down in the club's fight pit to offer medical assistance for more serious injuries that require more than just an ice pack or a quick bandage. He hates the fight pit- it's his only gripe with The Abyssal Zone that it runs the underground fighting ring. In his spare time Eislen spends hours teaching himself and studying books on emergency medical care so he can provide first aid to injured fighters. It upsets him to watch other pokemon struggling and suffering in fights, but he holds his tongue out of loyalty toward Nessie. At the very least, he can try to soothe the pain of their injuries with his care.
