Cassandra

Cassandra has always been a restless soul, from her childhood onwards. She can neither sit still for very long nor remain in the same place for the same amount of time. She is not content with a static life, and finds it generally difficult to sit in the same place for a while. However, Cassandra does manage to stay for the people she cares about. It’s just really, really hard.

Cassandra’s got this charm about her. There’s just something about her that draws people in, and she loves the attention. People love her, and love to be around her. She’s friendly, funny, and just generally a cool person to be around. Cassandra knows this, and thrives. She’s a total extrovert and wants to be around people as much as possible.

Of course, Cassandra is also very opinionated, and loud about them too. While she has enough tact not to bring them up at like, parties or something, she can and will talk about them in a lot of different places. It’s gotten her clocked in the nose before, and she still hasn’t quite learned her lesson.

Although Cassandra is incredibly restless, she’s also really good at this whole “mom” thing. She didn’t mind taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom. After all, she really likes kids! She’s also very patient, willing to listen and communicate with her kids, super flexible, and frankly just adores her kids like nobody’s business.

Cassandra isn’t super into physical affection - she much prefers to do things for people than be touched. It’s very rare that she’ll find people that she’s willing to cuddle, or hug, or really just be touched by in general. These people are usually members of her immediate family or incredibly close friends. It is suspected that her aversion to touch has something to do with her past, but no one is sure and no one wants to ask.

Cassandra can also be an impulsive idiot. She’s the kind of person who’ll fistfight a terrible parent without a second thought. It’s also very common for her to rush into danger without thinking about it beforehand. Other people often have to get her butt out of trouble simply because she didn’t bother thinking about the risk.

Most people don’t realize that Cassandra was an orphan. Her parents were both victims to the Cult of the Exiled One, and the only reason she survived was because she was hidden really well. Soon after the attack, she was taken to the Shrine of Fae and was raised by attendants there. It was a nice life, although Cassandra was raised to be an attendant and she wasn’t into that at all.

So, once she reached adulthood, Cassandra packed up her things and began to travel the universe. It was fun finding cool things that other species had made, and she began a huge collection of funky jewels and other fascinating things.

One of the biggest things Cassandra did while travelling was become a Casanova-like figure. Seriously, the amount of flings she had was astronomical. She’d often skip town because of all the broken hearts she left behind.

When she visited the Shrine, Cassandra became a sort of bard figure. She had stories about all the people she’d met, the places she’d been, and the artifacts she’d stolen. The ringox at the Shrine hung on her every word, and she loved it.

After some years of this, Cassandra found herself on a world where magic wasn’t exactly loved. In fact, the supernatural was feared and often destroyed. This meant that Cassandra had to hide her ringox nature and her magical abilities, and this was… really hard actually.

It was made even harder because there were a second ringox hanging around who for some absolutely idiotic reason revealed her true form (Cassandra refused to believe that she’d been caught too). They were both chased by a hunting party until they managed to escape into the shrine realm.

Once in the shrine realm, Cassandra got into a serious argument with this other ringox, Juliette, about who did what and how they got into trouble in the first place. Eventually, after some time Juliette was able to diffuse the fight.

After sorting all that, Cassandra and Juliette discovered that they actually got along really well. With some sorting out, they decided to go exploring together. After all, the two of them figured they could keep an eye out for each other and maybe even stay out of trouble.

This worked out well for quite a few years. That was, until Juliette accidentally broke the universe and ended up in the in between place for the rest of her life. Despite the stress, Cassandra figured out how to travel to the Golden Isles where she and Juliette decided to raise a family.

From there, well, raising kids is a different sort of adventure, isn’t it.
