Penelope

Penelope comes off as a quiet, bookish sort of woman who more often than not is lost in her own head. Which is true - Penelope’s not particularly fond of being around other people and tends to zone out very often. She can’t help it, almost everything else is incredibly boring. Of course, when you get her talking about books (both hers and others), she’ll be chattering away.

Most of the time, Penelope has a customer service type of persona going on. After all, most people want to spend time with her because they want something from her, not because they like her. Because of that, she tends to block her actual, strong personality out from everyone else’s view. They don’t deserve to know the real her.

Beneath the quiet, customer service Penelope is a strong willed, loud Penelope who’s ready and raring to go. She’s always been like this, ever since she was a child. When she lets herself go, Penelope is the center of attention and often gets into fights. It can get troublesome, which is why she tries to keep out of trouble most times.

Penelope is a very, very passionate woman. She cares very deeply about those she loves and the topics she loves. It’s a good thing to be loved by her because she will go out of her way to protect you. Whether emotionally, magically or otherwise, she will be there for you and she will keep you safe. Plus, she can and will gush about everything and everyone she loves. You just have to set her off.

Penelope is also an incredibly creative person. Her mind is constantly moving, taking her experiences and twisting them until they become new stories. After all, Penny meets lots of people. She’s not the shut in people thinks she is. She goes out and observes and learns about so many people. It’s why her stories are so vibrant and her characters feel like they could be real.

Born as the result of an accident between the progenitor Fae and the mercenary Win, Penelope was adopted by Cassandra and Juliette when she was very small. This proved to be a good thing, as having parents who adored each other and worked well together was much better for Penelope’s development than a progenitor and a mercenary.

Penelope was a very difficult child. She was full of power and energy and had a tail that bit people. Although Juliette is a very patient woman, Penelope was hard to reason with, especially when she was very small. Thankfully, Juliette was able to find a way to help Penelope understand things.

She matured as she aged, thankfully. Penelope found a good output for the amount of energy she had - writing. She began writing as a young teenager. Like everything, it took time for her to improve. But improve she did, and by the time she graduated from school she had a decent sized collection of awards.

Penelope began writing her first book at age 22, working a low end job while trying to squeeze every possible second in to write. It took her a couple years - and a few published short stories - but eventually her first novel was put out to the world. It wasn’t an instant success, but a few people liked it.

One night, while Penelope was hanging out in one of the bars, she met someone who was just sitting in the back. They seemed a little sad, so she struck up a conversation with them.

That person was Hadrian. They were upset about their work and family things. Penelope sat and listened for a little while. Then she helped cheer them up. They soon discovered that they had a lot in common and became fast friends.

Their romance came as a natural progression of their friendship. Hadrian and Penelope grew ever closer as they grew so incredibly comfortable. Although it took them a bit to decide that they wanted to be together, it only made sense.

Penny and Hadrian have been together ever since, and have built up a comfortable, domestic life.
