Personality

Traits- Serious, bratty, selfish, reserved, loner.

Not much is known about North Korea. He doesn't leave his own country often so most dogs who didn't grow up with him usually make assumptions about him and his personality. From the outside North Korea may seem like the more mature and serious brother compared to South Korea, but this is untrue. He is entirely fueled by his emotions which is usually not a good thing since he's usually in a negative mood. It's not uncommon for him to throw a tantrum or have a meltdown because he didn't get his way or was told some bad news. He's very babied at home which could be the cause for this type of behavior and could easily explain why he's so childish. He can often be very selfish. He only thinks about himself since that's all he really knows. It's as if he's blind to the world around him and technically he is. Because of his reserved nature and rare appearances outside his country, there are few dogs that know North Korea is legally blind. His vision has been slowly going bad for a long time and in the present day he can just barely make out shapes. He can still get around by relying on his sense of smell, his hearing, and sticking with things he's familiar with. However, it doesn't always work out that way and he is still prone to getting lost or tripping over things. Because of his blindness, he spends most of his time by himself. Its theorized that he's scared of the outside world or possibly its just that he'd rather spare himself the headache of dealing with other dogs. His interactions with others don't lead to much anyway. He seems to have absolutely no real world experience so communication definitely isn't one of his best skills. Overall, the only things we know about North Korea are from stories his old friends tell and rumors. There may be more to him than just a childish dog but for now its unknown.

Appearance

North Korea is a Pungsan dog that stands at 5'8" (170.18cm). His body is lean and his fur is short but can still appear to be puffy/fluffy in some areas such as his face and tail. His fur is mostly a shade of white with a few tan accents on his head such as his inner ears, his eyebrows, and a large circle marking over his right eye. His eyes are gray and he can mostly be seen with both eyes closed or just one eye open. He can easily open both eyes but he just prefers it this way. This could be partially due to his blindness. His right ear is torn as an injury received in a previous war. He doesn't mind this and it doesn't effect his hearing or daily life.

As for clothing, North Korea often wears a military outfit. It is dark brown with red accents on the shoulders, and collar. Its always buttoned to the top and has a black belt wrapped around his waist. This outfit helps him look more serious and mature than he actually is which he is most likely aware of and enjoys since he prefers to look professional. Other than that, he may also wear old fashioned clothing that fit into the North Korean dress code. He isn't a fan of this clothing (blind dogs can still have a sense of fashion) so he usually just sticks with his usually outfit.

Relationships

Russia and North Korea are friends, or that's how North Korea perceives it. The two bonded a lot in the Korean War and that's where most of North Korea's fondness of Russia originates from. He feels safe around Russia and will often stick by his side during his visits to the meeting building. His presence will calm his nerves. He'd go as far as to say he loves Russia and gets giddy when he smells him.

China is North Korea's closest friend and ally. North Korea can comfortably talk and joke with her and doesn't have too many problems with his poor communication skills around her.

United States of America and North Korea aren't fans of each other. America's obnoxiousness, nosy nature, and tendency to say whatever he's thinking doesn't mix well with North Korea's reserved attitude and short fuse. It's better they keep their distance.

South Korea is North Korea's brother. Despite looking similar, they are not twins.

Trivia

● Has a love for music and karaoke. He enjoys listening to music in his free time and will often burst out into song when he thinks he's alone. His favorite genre is pop and despite the limitations on what he can listen to, he has collected pop music from all around the world, including South Korea.

● He owns a Samsung smartphone. He's allowed to own this however and is mostly activated with voice control. Even though his phone is monitored, North Korea somehow found somewhere to hide all his illegal music on it.

● Whenever he leaves his country he gets extremely overwhelmed. Any night he has to spend in the meeting building is a sleepless one.

● Gets drunk a lot. There's no limit to alcohol consumption in North Korea. Its one of the only pastimes he can enjoy. He isn't a crazy drunk like one would expect. He's actually a sad drunk and drinks until he passes out. Even though he gets sad, he still finds it entertaining. At least more entertaining that doing nothing.

● Has never thought about romance and is completely oblivious to how it works. He probably isn't allowed to date but he's not interested anyway.

● Rumor has it the tail wags the dog.
