History
[expand later] Serenity was the princess of Kivvia before that whole mess of a war with Drahten. During the war, her aunt and uncle made a powergrab for the throne by having Serenity sent as an envoy to the Drahten royalty for peace while staging her parent's murder. After spending Way Too Long in Drahten as a prisoner of war an eventually escaping with the help of her guard who she had meant to just be tricking but accidentally developed actual feelings for oops, she returned to Kivvia with enough knowledge about the innerworkings of Drahten to crush them and finally end the war. However, her aunt and uncle had since gained control of the throne and Serenity's existence was a threat so they tried to have her discreetly murdered as well BUT she managed to escape again. She's been getting really good at that, lots of practice.
Serenity is now on the run and trying to find a way to reclaim her place as rightful queen in a way that is definitely not a fire emblem plot. For the time being, she's calling herself Gwen.

- She's currently going by Gwen while she's on the run
- She's been practicing fencing since she was nine and is an aggressive fighter
- Serenity is fond of jewelry but she's sold most of what she had on her when she escaped by this point for supplies
- She's easy to make laugh at jokes despite her demeanor but she can't actually tell one to save her life
- Finding people to help her reclaim Kivvia would be a lot easier if being betrayed by her family didn't make her inherently suspicious of other people's intentions, but alas
- Due to how reclusive Kivvia is, seeing how much technology advanced in other parts of the world during her travels was jarring
- Same goes for magic which was virtually unheard of where she's from
- She's pretty good at embroidery

[ a mistake ] An enemy soldier who helped her during a bandit attack and brought her to the capitol. After her demands to the rulers were denied and she was thrown in prison, Serenity was originally just going to use him to escape but ended up falling for him which made it all the worse when she still had to escape anyway. She heard later that he was dead and was devastated by the news and still currently feels guilty about it.
Prince Wilhelm
[ dumbass ] The crown prince from the distant kingdom of Galince. They only met a few times andSerenity was Not impressed by what she saw, but she did her best to treat him politely and respectively regardless. She's heard he went missing and while that is terrible and she hopes he's safe, she also would not be surprised if he ran off and got stuck in a tree somewhere.
Winter
[ fearsome ] Winter was a priceless asset during the war and helped to turn the tide against Drahten with her knowledge of magic that was otherwise virtually unheard of in both of the kingdoms. While she did ask for a... sizable payment in return, the witches she enlisted were well worth it. Winter vanished afterwards without warning, however, and Serenity rather hopes they'll cross paths again one day.
