In the shadowy dead of night where one could seldom make out much past the darkened silhouettes of the world surrounding, one could easily be startled by a tall and dark clad figure arriving before one's lone person.

What Caelestis didn't expect, once realising who it was, was for that cold and brooding Virgil to be the one to approach him. He glanced about in search of anyone or anything else he'd blocked off the path of, before pointing reluctantly to himself in confirmation. "Ah. May I help you, dearest Virgil?" He greeted in a lively enough tone. Only, the man simply stood without a word, hands rummaging about through... various pockets?

Caelestis' imagination could only wander in contemplation through the wait. A written letter of distaste? Virgil did seem the sort who'd prefer alternatives to any lengthier verbal expressions. Or a weapon? Murder in this wide open space? But there certainly needn't be so much time wasted before getting to business, and Caelestis doubted the man would recklessly harm a civilian for so much as some minor flirtation and a bit of a one-night bungle.

When it was already hard to read the other's expressions in daylight, the shadows in addition obfuscating any detail to mere vague blurs were far from much help, and he swallowed in the suspense. He glanced up, and even in this faint moonlight, that clear, cold blue gleamed with a striking vibrance.

—But ah, was the chocolate that bad? "You know, there was no true obligation of course to…"

Caelestis trailed off when the object was at last held out. The light hit it after a twist and it was… actually a weapon, but—

He stared at the elegant form, eyes wide with both surprise and awe. As one far from unfamiliar with the likes of daggers, it took only a glance to tell how finely crafted this was. Caelestis' gaze darted back and forth between the dagger in the man's gloved hand, and up at his impassive face. "This is—for me?" The gears could only attempt to turn regardless of the confusion in his mind, but no reasoning added up. He never was the best with math.

He attempted to withhold any particular reaction at the brief contact as the handle was passed into his own unexpecting hands.

It was odd hearing so many words come from the Garrote Union soldier's mouth, and through the feeling of his own of certainly not minding it, it sounded almost… unconfident?

"No, I—how did you know my weapon of choice?" An elated flutter rose through Caelestis' chest as the moment sank in, still. The mystery itself was half the thrill, and so there was no point in attempting to analyze farther than one could understand. Dexterous fingers twirled it about with delight as Virgil had stepped back to a slight larger distance. He'd have to form another of his own styled to match it. "I am… incredibly confused," he admitted, gaze raising back to Virgil's face, "but pleasantly so by all means. Thank you… truly. I will treasure this."

Train of thought halted at the unexpected weight of the other's eyes, Caelestis glanced away briefly. He really was weak to far too much with this guy.

"… So, did you like the chocolate kiss that much~?" He teased.

The silence was… Odd. It seemed like Virgil must have intended for some form of response, but the slow hesitance at such could only leave Caelestis half simply observing the nuances in the meantime, and half wondering what to expect. It couldn't have really been that, right…? His eyes widened as the contemplation began to conclude, and next was a small, crinkled piece of foil held out before him.

Caelestis' head nodded in the smallest of movement, as though to help confirm the words as they processed.

Well… This man kept surprising him. In quite far from unpleasant ways, so far, at that. How cute.

He gazed for a moment, admiring the bashful air that had somehow taken over with a slight giddy feeling. "I—do they not have chocolate around these parts?" He asked, finally remembering to actually respond. Gold eyes blinked widely. It must be so to some extent for Virgil to be asking, but quite a dreary place to be if so. "I'll admit, that one in particular was from… I'm not certain where. But I can certainly find more elsewhere." Absentmindedly, he dug around through his shirt in search of any remaining.

Mostly lemon candies. One whole lemon. A bit of cash. And something… small and rubber? A rubber frog...?

He stilled, suddenly, before gold eyes closed in concentration.

And... "Aha!" Swift fingers pulled out what appeared to be one more chocolate kiss. The shape was a bit… oddly dented, and the wrapper even more so. "It's our lucky day, it seems. It must have gotten a bit beaten around," he glanced aside embarassedly, "but it's there and whole! I may not have more at the moment, but I will find you a lifetime supply of all the best chocolates there are, just you wait, Virgil."

Holding it over for the soldier to take—more ordinarily so than previously—he smiled cheerily. "Though I can't say I'd ever complain over giving you more kisses, either."

The fresh forest air filled the celestials lungs. He was observed by spirits as he made his way through the area. It was only illuminated by sparse rays of light coming from the ceiling of leaves high above him, and the glowing flora. Tiny light particles almost seemed to dance around him. As did they with the keeper of the forest, sitting in his patch of grass under a large tree.
"You're back." the elf spoke before he opened his eyes to focus on Caelestis. "Welcome."
The keeper stood up, allowing himself to give to give Caelestis his attention. "How can I offer assistence? Do you need my guidance?" Though his expression was as serious as ever, there was a warmness to his voice as he spoke to the celestial. Caelestis was someone who cherished nature, and has only come to this forest to explore or enjoy the scenery. Naturally, the keeper was fond of him and would greet him with kindness.

This place was relaxing. With a soothing familiarity nestled in the air, Caelestis glanced aimlessly about while his feet crunched softly upon the leaves and twigs that made up the shadowy forest floor. It'd been a long time since he'd ventured here at all, let alone so deep, but there already seemed little elsewhere in this realm that the celestial could feel more at home.

"Ah." Caelestis slowed to a stop as he realised where he'd wandered to. The cool cave that he must have passed through at some point, the kind, curious spirits darting about, and surrounding mysticism would've been an obvious sign, admittedly, but a heavy and wandering mind could overlook many things. "So it seems I am. It's been quite a while," he replied softly to the forest keeper who sat a short ways before him. A mysterious elven man who watched devotedly over this forest, and was possibly the sole reason it still stood as majestically as it did. To find such a mysterious and magical place within had been a great surprise at the time, but to then find later that a being of such a kind existed in this realm at all had been perhaps the biggest surprise of all.

"Well..." He murmured uncertainly. "I do feel... it's perhaps a bit late on to ask for the likes of love advice, so would you mind merely some simple company for now? I don't mean to intrude." He slumped uncertainly down onto the grass nearby, though the softness itself felt so ethereal, his eyelids heavied in spite of himself with a tempting ease.

Great idea, he thought, going to someone he's slept with for company after everything, subconsciously so or not. Once he thought back on it, Caelestis hadn't actually directly visited this man since... things had began with Marco. The keeper was cool and graceful, a pleasant acquaintance, and also... attractive. Knowing himself, keeping a strict distance was by far the safest course of action. And while... he wasn't entirely sure how much it mattered now, it'd very likely be best to keep any impulses in check, still.

Ah... "You know, sometimes all it takes is a single block pulled from the tower for it all to come crashing down," he sighed languidly.

Wraith cracked his eyes open briefly before opening them fully, his muscles shivering at the cold bite of the winter air. Sure, he was in his room within Thorn's territory and Caelestis was staying with him, meaning he was pretty safe.....but...the cold brought forth a sense of dread and pain; a familiar feeling spurred on by past memories. He glanced down at his companion, who seemed to be sleeping rather peacefully, either he was not bothered by the cold who hadn't noticed it in his sleep. The shifter then looked towards the floor of the bed where Thorn had placed a thick blanket just encase the temperature dropped, Wraith shivered again, he may not be one to complain when he was cold, but the change in temperature certainly made him uncomfortable.

He grimaced as another memory began to creep forward in his mind, shaking his head, he quickly reached for the thick blanket pulled it closer. His movements seemed to have disturbed his sleeping companion, who was now beginning to wake up. Wraith then draped the blanket over the pair them, meeting the celestials eyes with his own. "Sorry..." He mumbled. "You looked cold....I was just getting an extra blanket for you." He said quietly, trying his best to ignore the fact that it was his own body that was shaking, though whether it was from the cold or another memory trying to force itself to the surface, he wasn't sure anymore.

At faint stirring of the surroundings, Caelestis felt himself gradually return back to the physicality of the waking world, eyelids fluttering faintly as they accustomed themselves to being opened once more. The comfortable warmth of Wraith's proximity felt briefly more distant than it had. Was something wrong? He wondered still slightly groggily, although already regaining some of his usual alertness without difficulty. The situation didn't seem as bad as other times he'd woken up to Wraith's movements, but he couldn't doubt that something may be up still.

The sensation of a blanket pulled over them both was what he noticed next, and only then was the relative chilliness of the night finally recalled. It was enough to feel at his skin when outdoors, but cozily cuddled together with Wraith while tucked into the comfort of bed left little to worry about in that regard. With that in mind, not particularly buying Wraith's words, Caelestis glanced instead understandingly over the shifter's faintly shivering form. "I looked cold?" He smiled, fond amusement reflected behind his features. "Thank you then," he added after a short moment. The discrepancy supposedly left overlooked, he snuggled more closely to Wraith, silently adjusting the positioning of his arms and legs to one that would hopefully provide more warmth to the other party. And of course, a gentle hand to stroke familiarly through the shifter's hair.

It all made sense, after all. He never did seem to do well with the cold, did he…?

Perhaps it was enough in terms of what he could do, but Caelestis shifted again slightly before long, raising his head to lightly kiss Wraith's forehead. Though it neared more the side from the angle at which two lied in the bed. "Now now," he murmured lullingly, "you may rest. If there's anything else bothering you, you can tell me. It's alright." Either way, he merely prayed his drowsy mind would allow him to stay awake until Wraith was for certain comfortable enough once more.

Wraith was silent for a while, his mind in conflict; part of him longed to be comforted whilst the other harshly scolded him for being a pathetic whining child. His brow scrunched up in mental pain as he sat up, he couldn't afford to be weak or vulnerable...but the weight from the memories that the cold had placed in his chest felt impossible to conceal anymore. His honey brown eyes looked at the celestial in a half blind gaze who returned it with one of drowsy confusion. The shifter exhaled and broke the eye contact, a hand running through his own dark hair in attempt to relieve the tension building in his body. He felt a hand cover his own which rested on the bed; even without knowing the celestial was next to him he would have known the others touch, his hand smooth as satin as they touched Wraith's scarred and rough one with the same amount of care and gentleness one would hold a butterfly with.

His muscles involuntarily twitched at the touch but made no further movement after. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, he turned once more to Caelestis, giving him a weak half smile of reassurance which didn't reach his eyes. He was a bout to lie down again when he froze once more as began to debate once again on what to do. It could have been seconds, minutes or even an hour later, Wraith wasn't sure, but eventually he exhaled and laid back down; though not in the position he had previously been lying in. Instead he had shuffled further down the bed, his head resting under that of his companions, the shifters forehead pressed against the others chest as he closed his eyes. He wanted to block out everything right now, the cold, the memories, the scolding voice in his head....everything but the celestial lying next to him; someone he hoped wouldn't think him weak for needing to be comforted right now. When the other didn't move, the panther shifter began to worry, was this a step to far? Had Caelestis seen this moment of vulnerability and found it repulsive? For some reason that thought alone made his chest sting.

However, his nerves were eased when he felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around him and a hand burying itself in his hair. He gave a relieved sigh as his whole body relaxed. He wrapped his arms around the celestial as well as his legs. "Okay....." He mumbled quietly against the others chest. ".....maybe....I was a bit cold as well...."

I simply love how you write and describe them, they're so fun to read and I adore your writings!

ASJGSHJKHSKS 😭😭💖 oml i'm touched, thank you so, so much!!

"Ah another wondering spirit like being" Mor chuckled lightly. "I do find it interesting on how you can enjoy a drink full of sour lemons... What in the world made you fall for them?" he joked, covering his face with his hand slightly. The spirit wanted to pester him more about his glorious realm but the idea of something so sour being a favorite caught his interest more. He just couldn't fathom the idea, though to be far he has never actually tried it.

(sorry this took so long aksjkhgshjs, my writing juices just needed a bit to get going again lol)

"Why, that's just the charm!" Caelestis laughed, eyes already glinting with delight at the mention of the topic alone. It was a dangerous thing to bring up in his presence. Alas. "The thrilling stimulation of the flavor itself, that sour tang, is perhaps the best part, I daresay! It is the feeling of being alive. And paired together with that faintest dash of refreshing sweetness found within, is what I consider to be the most flawless balance of all. A delicate, beautiful nuance like little else I've ever tasted." That and they were also the first thing he'd ever tasted, so perhaps there was a bit of bias to be found as well. A review biased enough that it might as well rather be a sales pitch instead.

"And lemonade itself," he continued on, gesturing about expressively as he spoke, "is an unparalleled innovation of that very wonder. Gentler, milder and sweeter, yet in a manner that does not lose that familiar charm at the same time. More than anything, perhaps, it also is a bit more convenient than simply biting into a lemon, you see." As little as he honestly minded it himself, that was the truth still. "And so I must say, from one ethereal being to another, perhaps you would quite enjoy it." With folded arms, he nodded twice contentedly. Though the possibility otherwise was just as likely, really.

"Ha well, I may just have to give it a try," Mor laughed crossing his arms as well "you quite sold me when you mentioned the sweet hint." He thought for a moment a grin lighting up his face, "now would you recommend strawberries added within the lemonade itself? Or are you the type to only like the simple pleasure of simplicity?"

Apathy hummed as he sidled up to Caelestis, resting his arm on the tabletop. "Lemons are disgusting," he said cheerfully, eyeing Caelestis's tall glass of lemonade. "It's like drinking...something not so pleasant." He paused a moment. "But, of course, everyone has their own opinions, and you can't attack anyone anymore for it...unfortunately." He stared at Caelestis over the rim of his glasses, narrowing his eyes slightly. "I'm not sure if any...other demons...or angels - or whatever lovely sentient beings that live for millennia - remember the days when there was war every two seconds."

"You're not one to engage in fights or war, are you?" He eyed Caelestis's heels, and a spark of delight shone in his eyes. "But heels! So unpractical, so hard to walk in, but so lovely, aren't they?" He sighed dreamily. "Heels...I would like to wear some, though I'm afraid I might reach a good seven feet tall that way...which is quite unfortunate. I should like to be shorter. But aren't heels lovely?"

"I beg your pardon?" Caelestis instinctively leaned away from Apathy, pulling his lemonade in closer protectively. There were many things he was willing to tolerate, but simply waltzing up to him and insulting both his favorite food and beverage was one step too far. He took a deep breath in and out, attempting to calm himself. It would do no good to be so easily provoked. "Yes… everyone does have their own opinions," he repeated back slowly, mildly, but with clear offense taken. And not all of them needed to be expressed at every given moment, he thought to himself. Caelestis listened skeptically.

So… implying he was willing to attack Caelestis over liking lemons were it another time? Truthfully, it was a relief when the topic changed, although the celestial undeniably was having very difficult time forgetting the man's earlier words entirely. Lemons were a gift upon the world, and nothing less. If Apathy was willing to fight over something so petty as a matter of personal taste, then perhaps Caelestis wouldn't mind fighting so much either.

"You think?" He questioned with a brief chuckle. Did it seem that way? Caelestis followed the other's gaze to his shoes. Right, he supposed it would. "They are lovely," he agreed. "Although I consider the added challenge to be its own appeal in a way, truthfully." Even if at this point, there was little challenge to be found for him in those ways. He nodded understandingly at the concerns about height. "That is a difficult thing, isn't it? I enjoy them greatly, but not so much having to peer down at others from above as a result." And that was coming from him who was already on the shorter end, albeit by sheer choice. "But indeed, I can only imagine your situation compared to my own. It surely must be a pity."

Apathy laughed, toying with his scarf almost playfully. "Yes, lemonade is quite disgusting. You seem offended, how unfortunate. I was hoping we could become friends, and here you are, with clear distaste written all over your face. Well, that made for a nice rhyme." He laughed and twirled his scarf around his fingers, knowing - and hoping - he could provoke Caelestis into doing something. "Yes, yes, opinions and whatnot, though opinions can be so troublesome sometimes, don't you agree? For example...liking lemonade...I can hardly bear the thought of it." He grinned devilishly.

He would, truthfully, attack the other party over liking those vile fruits. Well, he would, were it another time, a medieval time, a time of more war and less whining. Over...lemons. Ugh.

"Yes," Apathy nodded. "Especially when you're...less than slim and pretty." He scowled down at his legs. "Do you know how many snapped heels I've had to go through? The utter horror of walking down a lovely path, checking out clothing, and bam - there goes a heel, and there goes your ankle." He rolled his eyes. "Appeal? I would hardly call it appeal, but yes, I suppose it could be seen as appeal." He did like being tall, but seven feet was seven feet too many. "It really is - honestly, even without the heels, I wish I was shorter. It could be one of the greatest pities of all the pities in my life." Apathy. Always the theatric.

(Let's go with my hybrid because I need to work on him more xD )

Pierce collected his glass of cold lemon water with ice from the café counter and looked around, the place was packed due to the warm weather. He wasn't as effected by the sun like pure blood vampires but it still drained him a bit, he had his werewolf blood to thank for not burning up in the sun, but that didn't mean that he tanned or anything, his skin was still as incredibly pale. He gave a soft sigh and walked around the seating areas to see there was someone sitting in the shade whose table had a spare chair. Well it couldn't hurt to ask.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you but do you mind if I have this seat, everywhere else is full?" He asked with a soft smile. "I don't have to sit at your table, I can just take it here in the shade."

(sorry this took so long haha, i just got a bit too caught up in other things today i guess)

From a far distance, the vibrant gleams of the sun could be considered beautiful as they touched upon the world below, but out in the busy city where the celestial had been wandering at the time, there was little too see but the blinding brightness of the concrete and the hot, sparkling reflections off the many metallic surfaces that somehow hurt to even look at. The heat itself wasn't a problem, but he had been completely unprepared for the rising of the sun, and the vibrant clear skies that had come with it. With nothing to shield his arms or eyes, Caelestis could only retreat into the nearest paradise of a café, intending to remain there all day if he must.

There he sat, staring aimlessly into his cup as his eyelids grew heavy even despite the high caffeine of the drink he had purchased, when the sudden voice of someone approaching him snapped him back to reality. "No, please do go ahead. I would enjoy the company, in fact," he replied once gathering himself, smiling in return. It was an interesting contrast—the punkish appearance and polite, even gentlemanly manner of which he had been approached. Caelestis' eyes drifted towards the other's drink. "A fine choice, I must say." Although he suddenly felt all the more aware of the lack of lemon in his own drink. Once Pierce had sat down, Caelestis sipped his coffee before talking more. It'd be best to finish it soon, he thought, now determined to order a proper lemonade afterwards.

"So," he sat the cup down, "not quite a fan of the sun either? It's a pleasant concept, but in the end, I find it to be just a bit too intense, I suppose."

(Haha it's okay xD)

Pierce gave a half grin. "Yeah, it can be quite intense and draining at times, sure it's beautiful in it's way it lights up everything, but it can be a bit much when you're actually in it." He said before taking a sip of his drink, enjoying the coldness of it as he did so. After placing his glass down he looked at Caelestis' empty drink.

"Do you want me to go get another one for you?" He asked. "Oh a lemonade? Okay I'll be back." He said before standing up and walking inside to order the celestial a drink. Not long after he came back and placed it in front of Caelestis. "Here you go." He smiled as he sat back down.

just wanna let you know-

akjskjhfkhsjkjhs 🥺 👉👈 i'm touched

(also AAAAAAA i'm so happy you like my writing 😭)

She had been spending the day lightly exploring the city when from above, the raven saw a familiar face passing by on the streets. A face she recalled to be rather intriguing. Pretty, too.

Flying ahead, the raven swoops about in the air, spinning and dropping herself in the air only to snap out her wings and catch herself upon the wind at the last second, turning into large loops- all to catch a certain celestial's attention. After a good few minutes of playing in the sky, she flutters down to perch on the back of a bench. Giving herself a second to catch her breath and for him to figure out where she's landed, Cordelia waits. When he spots her, she angles her head at him, a friendly smile in her eyes. Come on. She won't bite.

"You talked to many ravens in your life? They've got amazing mimicking capabilities."

That was one showy raven, to say the least. Caelestis watched the little show curiously, feeling a bit reminded of the similarly curious raven from a while back. His eyes darted around, following the movements instinctively, as he absentmindedly wondered what the intention was, if any. Eventually, Cordelia landed, and he soon found her newly perched on a nearby bench. With the friendly, human-like motions that he wouldn't typically observe from any ordinary bird, Caelestis was fairly certain it must have been the same one at this point.

"Well, not many of them that have talked back," he replied with a chuckle. Yeah, that... had been a bit of a surprise. Oh, he would not have gone on that much if he'd known. But alas, what's done is done, and she didn't seem the type to gossip on about whatever secrets were overheard, at least. "And I suppose they do, although it seems the ones I've encountered up until now must have been a bit too shy to make use of it." It was still somehow almost a bit difficult to believe, as someone with a tendency to wind up in one-sided conversations with random animals a bit too often to be normal, to actually be replied to by one for once. Not that it had never happened before, but still certainly an uncommon occurrence. "I must express my curiosity towards how effectively you've developed such a skill, though." He folded his arms in thought. It seemed Cordelia was someone a bit similarly curious about things, but there weren't many things he actually preferred to share about himself, except... "Oh, and how does a raven such as yourself feel about listening to one's love woes?" He always had many of them.

(Hope this is okay, sorry it's a bit of a long one xD)

Wraith's ears twitched as he heard someone approach and quickly ducked his body into the shadows, his one working eye glancing in the direction of the noise. He heard footsteps before a familiar figure caught the light that was cascading from the main street. Giving a sigh Wraith stepped back out of the shadows, his spray paint belt around his waist and a dark blue spray can in his hand.

"Didn't think you would be walking around this neck of the woods at this hour." He said through the thick mask which covered the lower half of his face, his eyes shielded by some safety glasses. He judged that Caelestis was a safe distance away and began to shake the spray can and resume spray painting the wall he had nearly completed. After a few minutes or so Wraith stood back and removed his mask and goggles, placing them in a pocked on his belt and then securely fasting the spray cans so they didn't fall out if he had to go scaling up a building and time soon. the image he had spent a good hour or so painting showed a dark blue sky with moon in the top right, however the moon looked like it was cracked and pieces were falling and breaking apart. On the other side was a silhouette of a child crouched by the base of a tree which half of the the branches curled down into a angry skeleton like hand that was threatening to grab the child, whilst the other half turned into a similar skeletal branch hand holding what looked to be both a knife and a bottle. The child silhouette had visible white and black cracks in it and like the moon, looked like it too was breaking apart. The whole are piece was beautiful and scarily realistic, but above all tragic.

Another sound got Wraith's attention and he quickly grabbed Caelestis' hand. "Come on, someone's coming." He said before pretty much dragging and helped the other party up onto several ledges until they ended up on the roof and far away from the where the shifter had been spray painting. From up here Wraith looked out at the vast lights of the city and exhaled, feeling more comfortable up here.

(kjsfhjksjks no worries about length lol)

Finding the busier parts of the city to be a bit too much for his liking at the moment, Caelestis had wandered a good ways away, allowing his mind to trail absentmindedly as he walked. It was hard to deny how much time he had been spending in them lately, despite it not being quite his preference. Alas, it was difficult enjoying deep, green forests and grassy fields, but longing for the activity and thrill seldomly found outside of cities. When Wraith suddenly walked out of the nearby shadows, he wasn't overtly startled, but certainly caught a bit off guard. Replying after a moment, "I enjoy these calm hours quite a bit actually. Nothing like a leisurely midnight walk, after all." To claim that he had been keeping track of the time at all would be frankly incorrect, so he hadn't the slightest clue as to the accuracy of his brief estimation. But, as the sun hadn't exactly risen yet, he could only assume it would still be considered night time at the very least. Soon, the mask and goggles caught his attention, and he finally noticed the spray painting on the nearby wall. Wow. It was an undoubtedly impressive thing, and he ceased his aimless walk to stand in silence as he watched Wraith finish the painting.

Observing the symbolism, Caelestis wondered what exactly it must relate to, but before he could speak up in curiosity, Wraith grabbed his hand and hurried him away onto a distant rooftop. While he could have climbed it with ease on his own, he made no comment, having not minded the physical contact in the slightest. As much as he doubted there was any reason for it besides practicality, it was still a pleasant surprise regardless.

Once settling on the rooftop, Caelestis couldn't help appreciating the cool night breeze and serene view of the city. Noticing Wraith ease up as well, he took the opportunity to speak up, teasing with a chuckle, "How bold of you to whisk me away like that." He had a feeling the flirtatious comment would fall to deaf ears, but made it nonetheless. Before long, he shifted to the main topic at hand. "But truly, your spray painting was stunning," he said, smiling gently. "I suppose you would rather not talk about what it may represent, but I'm always willing to listen if you ever did wish to." It wasn't difficult to tell the man must have led quite a harsh life—from even just a single look—and Caelestis held back the nagging curiosity in understanding. Tilting his head back to relish in the breeze, he let out a pleased sigh before opening his eyes to look towards Wraith once more. "...It is a relaxing scene, is it not? A quiet comfort, with everything so small and distant. While I do enjoy the hustle and bustle as well, there's nothing quite like a moment spent in silent serenity." Considering how quickly Wraith had retreated from the previous location, he clearly hadn't left only for the sake of relaxation, but that brought no need to lessen the appreciation of the moment, no?

Wraith inhaled the fresh night air, he preferred being up here, away from the noise of the city. His ears twitched at Caelestis' comment about him being bold, the flirtatious nature of the comment went straight over Wraith's head, being a man with little to no social skills, the teasing was completely loss on him. "Better to be bold then to be caught." He grunted slightly, his eyes not leaving the brightly lit streets below. He listened quietly as his companion continued speaking, this time about the spray painting. "The meaning of art is up to the interpretation of the viewer." He stated as he blinked and shifted his weight slightly.

"I prefer being up here, it's away from the noise and idiots below." He said as he stood up straight, no longer leaning against the railing. Silence came over the pair of them before Wraith's ears twitched, hearing something nearby. Frowning he turned around to where he could hear a faint trace of movement around what looked to be a a row of large condensers. He low growl rumbled through his chest as he signalled Caelestis to stay where he was and be quiet. As he began to approach the sound stopped which made the shifter also halt his movement. After a minute or so the sound continued.

Wraith's form changed and in his place was a badly scarred black panther, the large cat crouched down and waited, hearing the sound get closer to him and his fur helping him blend into the darkness. It wasn't long before Wraith pounced on what had been making the noise, turned out it was a very large rat. Growling Wraith let the noisy creature go hissing angrily at it as he did so, lucky for the rodent the big cat wasn't hungry. The panther then paced the perimeter of the roof before trotting back over to Caelestis and shifted back to his human form.

As Wraith suddenly turned around in reaction to a noise Caelestis either hadn't noticed or hadn't found enough concern in to make note of, the celestial's first instinct was to follow suit. Before he had distanced himself from the railing however, Wraith made it clear that he wanted him to stay put. Reluctantly complying with a sigh, he folded his arms as he peered in the direction the man had turned towards, wondering what it could be that had him so cautious.

Needless to say, he hadn't quite expected Wraith to suddenly turn into a… panther? The world was full of surprises, indeed. After blinking a few times in reaction, Caelestis found himself accepting the fact relatively quickly—as such things were always a bit surprising, but somehow not the most uncommon of an occurrence at the same time—and his attention soon concentrated onto the further abundance of scars now visible on the other's body. Far less surprising than the newly revealed form itself, but also far less pleasant of a thing. He frowned in concern, but made no comment on it.

Once the panther had finally pounced on the source of the apparent noise, revealing merely a large rat, Caelestis let out a breath in relief when he allowed it to run free. He understood the nature of predatory animals, but that didn't make it a pleasant thing to observe by any means. Although it did go to show just how cautious the shifter must have been, to act so vigilantly in reaction so something so small. When Wraith eventually shifted to his human form once more and returned to where Caelestis still stood by the railing, he could only comment with a raised eyebrow, "Well, that was certainly a surprise... A majestic form, I must say though."

And so, he remained on that rooftop, finding little to speak about, but enjoying the company of his intriguing companion nonetheless, until the sky began to show signs of dawn. "...Oh, I had best be on my way now," he spoke up at the sight, feeling a bit disappointed, but also yearning once more for the typical thrills of a new day. He wasn't sure how long it had been, having possessed no knowledge of the time from the very start, but found it was likely about time he should be leaving regardless. Chuckling, he added shortly, "But I enjoyed this little impromptu date quite a bit. Do feel free to steal me away any other time as well." ...Seems he found some amusement in Wraith's cluelessness regarding the flirtations. With a small wave, Caelestis turned around to leave, effortlessly climbing and leaping down the way the two had came.

(sorry that this is so long adffdsh)

"Hey, Caelesty!" Marco walked up to Caelestis with a nervous smile. He moved in a quite excited manner and seemed fiddely. "Remember what you saw some time ago... Um... When I was doing this... pshweew" He made slow and awkward gestures with his arms, directing to the ground. "You know this kinda thing?... I feel kinda bad about leaving you in the dark and all and um... I wanna show you what this was about..." After hearing that Caelestis didn't mind demons all that much, he finally felt comfortable showing him his supernatural side. Or was he? He still looked very nervous and like he regretted saying that. In fact, he paused, thinking for a bit before he shouted, "Okay!" The man took a few steps back. "Here I go..." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. With a little swivel, he tensed his shoulders, sticking his chest out and standing straight for once. His forehead crystal began glowing brightly and upon snapping his eyes open, so did they. The same violet aura Caelestis saw that night shot out of Marcos back and took the form of wings. With a swift flap, the aura evaporated, leaving Marcos huge, feathered, black and white wings for show. He looked back to the celestial and his eyes and crystal slowly stopped glowing. "So... Yeah... I have wings..." Marco didn't transform completely, like he almost did before Caelestis once. He wanted to see his reaction to the fact that Marco had some sort of powers first.

(fjkhsfkhjs there's no such thing as too much marco)

Caelestis immediately perked up at Marco's approach, soon noticing that he seemed to be a bit anxious about something. Once he made his short demonstration—a bit too cute for Caelestis' heart—it was clear what this must've been about. Feeling touched that the man would take initiative to tell him about such a thing purely of his own volition, Caelestis listened eagerly, with a short nod to confirm his following-along. It was soon evident that Marco indeed planned to show him what he had almost seen before, and he found himself holding his breath in suspense. While he assumed it must somehow relate to the man's recent question about demons, he still wasn't sure what to expect.

And… he was soon met with a pair of large, black and white wings. He swallowed. "...Beautiful," Caelestis muttered to himself out loud. That, they were. Although… he still wasn't quite sure what such a thing entailed, at least in this world. After another moment of simply staring with surprise and intrigue, he asked at a more typical volume, "…You can fly?" Oh, he hoped he could fly. Stepping closer until he was standing right before Marco, Caelestis reached forward to gently brush along the span of one of the wings. "Oh, to think you were hiding such a splendid thing all this time." As someone who utterly reveled in heights, a part of him wondered if Marco could carry him in such a way—a simply unbearably romantic concept—but it seemed an odd timing to ask. Perhaps another time.

"Somehow I have difficulty picturing you as some sort of bird man, but nothing else quite comes to mind," he said with a chuckle, shifting his gaze back to the man himself. At this moment, he realised just how closely he had approached Marco, and suddenly felt a nearly irresistible desire to kiss him—the wings most certainly did not help either. However, he resisted, oddly enough, and instead simply stared into the other's eyes with a fond smile, not moving closer nor away.

Marco hugged himself timidly while listening Caelestis comment on this reveal. "Uh yes! I can fly with them... I'm not the best at it though..." His nervous smile crept back on his face, accompanied by a blush when the celestial came closer and gently stroked along one of them. That felt... pretty good. His wings barely ever get touched, especially so lovingly. "So you like them?.." Marco raised an eyebrow, giving his expression a bit more confidence. He wouldn't have revealed his wings if he wasn't sure that Caelestis took the news well, but still, he couldn't help but feel relieved. "Hehe... It's not really a bird thing though... I inherited these wings from my female birthgiver..." Given the term he was using to void the word 'mother' and the furrowing of his eyebrows, he made subtly clear that he didn't think to highly of her. "She was... an angel..." Saying this felt weird. He himself didn't even know of this fact until recently, but so far, there didn't come any harm in revealing that information. "She's fallen, though..." After all that, he finally noticed how close they've gotten, too. His expression grew softer. He gently put a hand on Caelestis' cheek and leaned in even closer, to give him a tender kiss. After a short while, he pulled back, but only so much that their lips were still just centimeters apart. "Thank you...", he whisperd softly onto his lips.

(just casually stealing all my uwus, and also uh,,, just.. one more reply i swear ksfhksjhs)

An angel? Considering the wings, it wasn't the most unexpected revelation at this point, but somehow still caught Caelestis slightly by surprise. Although, considering how angelic Marco had always been to him, it also wasn't too much of a surprise though. He inwardly chuckled at the thought. With the odd question from before, and the clear implication that only one side of his heritage was angel, it did bring forth a possible thought… But at this point, Caelestis found no need to play detective, and resolved to simply wait and see. If Marco wished to share more, he surely would eventually. There was no rush, after all.

Feeling a hand on his cheek, and soft lips soon meeting his own—something he had been undoubtedly yearning for, but wished not to initiate for once—his heart fluttered pleasantly, and oh, if he hadn't already been smiling, he certainly would be now. There was nothing quite like being trusted by someone you loved enough to be revealed such a clearly sensitive, reluctant thing. Ah, perhaps it wouldn't hurt to be a bit more open about himself as well, he thought in passing, although too distracted by the love and bliss currently overwhelming his being to linger on it. At Marco's proceeding whisper, Caelestis could only pull him into an affectionate embrace, arms around his neck—replying with a similar softness, "…Thank you for trusting me."

"UhhhhHHH Hey excuse me!!!," a flustered Mevdos ran to the figure he saw in the distance, frantically waving so that the figure wouldn't walk away. When he caught up he bent down to catch his breath. "I huff was huff wondering... Hey are you the owner of this realm?" Mevdos smiles awkwardly as if he were being caught in the act of doing something bad. "OK HEAR ME OUT I REALLY DIDN'T mean to intrude I was just working on this elixir! I mean I was just mixing random ingredients together & all of the sudden BANG BANG BANG POOF I am over here! I sweeearrrrr I'm not taking anything or doing anything bad! Ok I'm so sorry just please let me out of here alive good sir," He quickly dumps the stolen plant cuttings (that he was attempting to propagate at home) out of his bag.

(afkhjskhfjkh thank youuu 🥺 mevdos is seriously gorgeous too omg)

Of the few things Caelestis might have expected while leisurely taking a stroll through his realm, a voice suddenly frantically calling to him from the distance was certainly not one of them. While it was perhaps possible to let another in, one arriving without his initiative nor knowledge was nearly completely unheard of. As he swiftly turned to the source of the voice, he was met with someone who fortunately appeared relatively harmless—although to let his guard down too quickly would be foolish, as appearances could still be ever so deceiving. The plants and colorful moth wings caught his attention immediately, although he had no clue how common a thing they may be for wherever the stranger was from. Regardless, he let out the breath he had been momentarily holding in relief.

"…This is indeed my realm," he replied somewhat hesitantly. Although to consider it something he 'owned' was a slight understatement for something that was such a significant aspect of his being itself. Once Mevdos finished speaking, Caelestis felt more reassurance that the other likely was not here intentionally, and didn't appear to hold ill intentions at the very least. Very expressive, he thought with an inner chuckle. And lively. It was even more intriguing how he was somehow able to enter Caelestis' realm in such an oddly circumstantial manner.

Looking down towards the plant cuttings that Mevdos removed from the bag he carried, Caelestis was slightly surprised, although he supposed they were unique enough that it wasn't odd for someone to be interested. He tilted his head back up towards the one before him, replying with a gentle smile, "You can keep them if you'd like." There was nothing to truly lose, after all. "Although, I do think you'd best be on your way soon if possible. I'm admittedly not the most accustomed to visitors." He chuckled softly, not wanting to seem unwelcoming, but also feeling a bit undeniably unsettled at the situation regardless. As much as he would love to get to know this interesting stranger better, the current location was not somewhere he could consider to be the most ideal for idle chatter.

He is such a stunning character! I love the details you have put into him! <3

(h elp i freaking love him sjfkshfkh)

Caelestis couldn't help chuckling at that last bit. Such an amusing person. "No worries, I do indulge in the pleasure of eating from time to time," he assured lightheartedly, with a slight exaggeration of his own typical posh manner of speech, very much so enjoying Fred's antics. The question itself wasn’t actually an unreasonable one for him, but he figured the other likely wasn't aware of that.

Skimming the menu, he casually picked out what appeared to be one of the healthiest—and also fanciest—options available. It seemed to be interesting enough, and he was looking forward to trying it out. Although, Caelestis looked back up at Fred with a slightly guilty expression. "Is the price too high? I'm admittedly not especially confident as to what might be considered reasonable." Perhaps slightly flaunting his own accustomation to wealthier lifestyles, but it was the truth.

HE IS REALLY REALLY PRETTY ;___; i love his design!!! and his profile and backstory and everything all have a lot of detail and thought put into them-- I loved reading through his page tbh ♡

AAAAAAAAAA thank you!! 😭 it was a long and gradual self-indulgent process of figuring out what i thought looked the nicest, for his design to have become what it is now, and i'm reallyyyy happy with it!

and i'm so glad to hear that omg!! i still want to flesh him out even more, but writing characters doesn't come super naturally to me, so i'm kinda taking my time with it lol
