Phecda Shioto

Phecda is rather flighty, being easily distracted, but he is therefore quick to pick up on details that others may miss. He can come across as foolish or nonchalant, and also has his moments where he lets a taunting side show through, as if he knows more than he's letting on. Though he hints to others about what he knows, he also tends to eat his words and backtrack, so even when he's onto something, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt, and he uses this to his advantage. Below all of this, he is rather sentimental, and his tendency to wave information in front of others may just be his way of trying to protect them from both the danger and the truth.

He is rather intelligent, using this skill to devise almost flawless plans. While these plans are often to keep others safe, he downplays his cleverness, but his ability to think thoroughly about his endeavors means that many of his goals are quickly achieved. He is also observant, and often notices things that others would not, and while he doesn't always share this information, he often is many steps ahead of any potential issue. Phecda uses these skills to support those he cares about, and even though he comes across as a bit of a fool for it, he is often the one trying to cheer up his companions or distract them from anything that may be on their minds.

Phecda keeps many secrets from those around him, such as his past as the Curian prince or his alias of Phantom, which he used to go behind the backs of Ares when he worked as an investigator for them. He also has a tendency to omit the truth and to lead others astray as long as it suits his goals. Additionally, he doesn't put too much care into things, and it is unknown whether this is a diversion so others won't suspect him, or if he simply doesn't care to put his attention towards things that don't benefit him in the short term.

He tends to get bored or disinterested easily, and he has had many hobbies over the years because of this, which he has learned and abandoned in succession.

Due to his past as the Curian prince, Phecda has a few abilities. He doesn't show them often, but uses them when they are helpful to others. He would rather not tell anyone in case they think differently of him, but once someone knows, he doesn't tend to hide them any further.

Hypnotic Eyes Phecda's eyes, when looked into, create a sense of calmness and immense focus in their subject. This can be used to make the subject feel drowsy or sleep, but he can also use fractionation techniques to deeply hypnotize the subject by making and breaking eye contact in succession. Phecda uses this power rather haphazardly, whenever it's convenient for him. He also uses it as Phantom to entertain his followers, such as when he hypnotizes Marun Ookami on stage to both interrogate him and persuade him to cooperate.

Dream Stealing As an Origin Curian, one of the first spirits to live in the land before it had a monarchy established, Phecda gets some of his energy from absorbing the dreams of others. He can also walk through dreams and influence them. There are many myths in Curiah about these dream-stealing abilities, giving him the title of the Dream-stealing Prince, but he doesn't choose to bring anyone to harm with this ability, despite the rumors that he can drain all of someone's dreams at once -- rumors that would be true if he allowed it to be, but he doesn't have the heart to do it anymore.

Different Forms Phecda's original form was more inhuman and beastly, a form he can take on occasion. He also has a more humanoid form as a Curian, where he has gray scales and six crow-like wings. He doesn't use these forms often, but if he needs extra strength or to travel long distances, he can use these forms at will.
