Chandra

Most people know of Chandra as the overly flamboyant trophy wife of the owner of the only casino in the entire Golden Isles. She’s over dramatic and an absolute ham, who hypes up the drama of it all. After all, drama is fun and she loves to see people’s reactions. Plus, you know, she’s rich. She can do what she likes.

As part of doing what she likes, Chandra indulges her scientific curiosity. She has a fascination with what life is like outside the Golden Isles. Government laws be damned, she is going to find out why people moved here in the first place. She knows her science, she’ll find out.

Chandra is very smart. She’s the classical chaotic science lesbian trope - she’s got little regard for risks and collateral damage. She does, however, understand proper timing thank you very much. Chandra knows her limits. Of course, she will push past them depending on how invested she is in the project.

Unfortunately, Chandra is the kind of person who will steamroller over the thoughts of others. She is incredibly self centered and has a superiority complex. It’s hard for her to conceptualize the fact that maybe other people want different things than she does. There’s only one person who she actually cares for, and that’s her wife.

Overwhelmingly, Chandra’s just a really good actress. She’s very skilled at getting people to believe that she’s just the drama queen wife of the casino owner. After all, people can’t know about her scientific research. Chandra doesn’t want to get in trouble with the authorities after all. That would be a problem indeed.

Chandra’s always had enough money to do her science. From a young age, she was busy doing (age appropriate) science experiments that her very wealthy parents paid for. They encouraged her love of science to an extreme degree, so much so that by the time she was 16 she had her own private laboratory.

Incidentally, Chandra also learned the truth about the Golden Isles at age 16. She was reading a library book that was the transcription of early explorers’ logbooks when she stumbled upon Earth as a concept. Fascinated, she began looking for any materials that could help her find out more.

Armed with knowledge, Chandra spent the next seven years of her life trying to break through the walls of the universe to get back to Earth. There were many failed attempts, but she finally made it. Chandra made a rift back to Earth.

It was only open for a few minutes, however. Cynthia noticed the rift immediately and shut it as fast as she could. However, she wasn’t quite fast enough - during the brief moment the portal was open, Gene, a dainty, was sucked through.

Chandra was enamoured by Gene immediately, even if Gene was still in shock from being sucked into a whole new land. Gene latched onto Chandra like a puppy dog for the first year or so before finally figuring everything out. Eventually, Gene was able to appreciate Chandra for the individual she is, and the two of them got married.

Nowadays, Chandra’s biding her time and laying low. She is going to break back into the universe, goddammit, no organization is going to stop her. She just has to keep everyone off of her tail.
