Personality
Amera is as cold as their appearance would have you believe. They are not the kind of person who opens up easily, who makes friends or even lovers. No, Amera is a force of solitude and sheer determination. They are uniformly focused on getting the best results possible and don’t care about other people at all. And no, they aren’t a soft person at heart.
Amera has a very business-like personality. They’re very results oriented and often overlook the moral grey aspects of what they do. Other people don’t matter after all. Only the results. This makes them a terrifying enemy to have - they neither love or hate pain. They only do what must be done.
Contrary to popular belief, however, Amera is not a workaholic. They’re very reasonable about their work hours, and will only work overtime if necessary. After all, while Amera believes their work is vital, they also have enough self respect to take care of themself and take time off. It’s hard to argue with them about this as they are very firm about it.
Amera does, in fact, have a sense of humor. While they appear deadpan all the time, they can and will prank their coworkers. The best part is that no one ever suspects them. They do occasionally laugh and that both surprises and scares everyone. That’s fine, Amera appreciates it when people are scared of them.
Amera puts a lot of effort into being intimidating, both inside and out. They secretly love it when their very presence scares the crap out of people. After spending so long as the underdog as a youth, it’s quite satisfying to be on top.
Design Notes
- Amera is an auracorn, and thus has an equine feral form. It has the same markings as their humanoid form, it’s just a horse.
- Amera usually keeps their hair up in a braid, but when it’s down it hits the small of their back.
- From their gemstone, Amera can summon a horn which allows them to perform magic (specifics in ref).
- Amera generally prefers to go sleeveless and wear simple, dark colors.
Trivia
- Amera works for Galen in their covert organization. The organization has no name, so people call it The Organization. It’s purpose is to track everything that’s just a little… off about the Golden Isles.
- Amera used to be a bit of a fuckboy before they got their current job.
- Amera is very close to being the second in command of The Organization. Galen loves them after all.
- Amera is not currently interested in a relationship and probably won’t be for a while.
History
Amera doesn’t like to talk about their past. In fact, they’ve blocked most of it out from their memory. What they do know is that they had to work a lot during their childhood because of some sort of parental absence, and that school was really painful because no one took them seriously.
As a young adult, Amera was one of those people who would “play the field.” They could never feel comfortable enough to actually fall in love and broke many hearts along the way. Eventually, they decided to just leave that life behind. Why? Because while they were doing this, they met Galen. And Galen wanted them for The Organization.
To absolutely no one’s surprise (except maybe Amera’s), they were a perfect fit.They made their way up the ranks through their sheer determination and sticktoitiveness. And that’s where Amera has stayed ever since.

Amera idolizes Galen. They’ve modeled some of their personality on Galen’s quiet apathy and ability to analyze a situation. Plus, Galen is the first authority figure to notice them and nurture their talents. No wonder they’d give their life for Galen. Galen cares about Amera back, and hopes to work with them for a long time.
Despite the fact that Cooper works in a different section of The Organization, Amera often finds themself working with him. Despite his peculiarities, he’s got a good head on his shoulders and is full of information. Amera has considered making him their official work-partner, although he’s not sure about that yet. Cooper does like Amera though, which is a rare feat.
Noona is the first proof of the universe still existing outside of the Golden Isles. The only problem is that she’s refusing to explain anything. Instead, Noona is flirting a lot with Amera, although whether it’s genuine or just trying to get out they don’t know. It’s almost endearing. Almost. Mostly, it’s really annoying.
There is definitely something up with Bit. Amera’s been tracking him for ages, but he’s clever so there is literally no proof that something is up. There’s documents and everything. Bit really thinks of everything. Amera is tempted to go after his boyfriend Atticus, but they suspect that Cooper would kill them because Atticus is his brother-in-law.
Dove is more of a scientific curiosity than an actual problem to deal with. Amera suspects that Dove holds secrets to the universe everyone came from inside their core. Ideally, they’d get close enough to learn things from Dove but Dove is antisocial as hell. Amera is no better. So for now, they’re just tracking her.
Very much a concern for The Organization. Considered to be highly dangerous, considering she’s actually successfully opened a rift out of the Golden Isles and brought someone in. However, she isn’t currently showing any signs of experiments… Amera can only hope this means good things.
