Briar

Backstory

After losing their parents, Briar was ready to lean on their older sibling Zyles so that they could comfort each other in their grief. However, when Briar needed their sibling the most, they were not there. Instead, Zyles had started working at a mysterious job, drowning themself in work and leaving Briar to deal with things alone. They held their chin up and learned how to put on a happy face for others so their friends and sibling would not be too worried. Even now, they struggle with opening up to others, and still holds a tiny bit of resentment and even jealousy towards Zyles. They know that it wasn't easy for them either, but, from Briar's perspective, they were able to distract themself from the pain and never had to put in the work of overcoming their grief, or helping their younger sibling do so.

Being the only real family Briar has left, they of course love Zyles, but there is now years worth of distance between them, and the gap keeps growing. Briar has no idea what Zyles is up to, and Ione becoming part of the family has only further confused things.
