Iris's Comments

I feel like it's honestly no surprise by now that Iris is one of my favourite characters of yours: between drawing him for AF and making this old comment where I gush about what stands out about him, I think it's pretty clear haha! I was initially drawn to him by his design: it's so beautiful and delicate with his lean form, long hem of the outfit and the petal wings! His color scheme is so pleasantly warm with the lilac clothes contrasting against them, and though he appears very androgynous he has this really sweet boyish charm to him! It's also always super nice to see characters who are adults but who look youthful without actually coming off as children or even teenagers really - as a very ~ delicately built ~ guy it feels super validating to see characters like that! Sort in relation to that I also really appreciate the fact his species is often thought as female only but he's a guy nevertheless!

I talked about some of the stuff I really like about him and his general species in this old comment, and what I said back then still reflect my feelings pretty well! His story is very memorable to me and almost a year later I still remember so many details from it! In his character itself I enjoy the downside of his kindness being cowardice and inability to really defend himself, because his kindness makes those flaws seem less awful than they are often coded as? Like usually "coward" characters are always portrayed as shady, unreliable and just generally awful so in Iris' case it genuinely feels more like a downside to his warmth and love for others than a personality trait of its own, which I love!!

I also really love the relationships he has to other people! With the limitations of his species I feel like it's essential to have non-nymphs to lend a hand when things may get tough or he's in a super vulnerable position.

Inhale: IRIS IS SUCH A CUTIE OMFG IM DYING!!!! Seriously, all your designs are so so beautiful and detailed and I love them sooo much! (I'm still not over that gorgeous outfit you made for my gal thanks a million! TwT)

As for his story, it's as detailed and magnificent as his design is! Seriously, I enjoyed reading it a lot! It reminded me of a fairy tale of sorts and i absolutely adore it! It fascinates me how much thought and effort you put in him! Great job!

Starting with the design: Iris' design is incredibly beautiful and all those details are so appealing to the eye. His soft face and overall look make him so adorable indeed :3 I love how much attention and effort was put into his design.

Reading a bit of his bio, there are so many cool thing about his character: He is indeed soft and gentle, those were given by his soft appearance as well.

I love the fact that he is so fascinated by snow and winter, yet he cannot be awake during that season: it looks like a dream that could never become a reality, something he cannot reach and remains a dream.
