Milo's Links
Thief, a dirty thief. Eamon threatens to take away a family member no differently than Stryx is taking Jay. He hates him, hates him, hates him with a passion and wants him to stay away from Datura. He can't risk losing her too.
They're exes, I think?
Calypso still has feelings for Milo, but they were never able to keep the relationship stable given both of their emotional issues they still had to work through. She was the one to suggest they take a break.
Stryx is a nightblood. He's dirty. He's vile. He's out to hurt everyone and everything he loves. He's stealing his best friend away from him and is going to drive him out of the family someday, for sure. He just knows it, and he doesn't trust him or like him one bit.
Milo is frightening and hostile. He fears for his own safety around him more often than not, purely because he doesn't know just what Milo is capable of. Would he kill him, if given the chance? Stryx can't say he'd put it past him. His spirit feels scared more than angry, so he tries not to take it too personally.
Datura is safe and she's understanding. Milo feels comfortable around her and is willing to approach her to talk about anything and everything. She makes sure he's looking presentable, and he does his best to make something of what she's giving him if for no one else but her.
Milo's misunderstood and hard to handle sometimes, but she loves him like family anyway. His hostility and his irritability has never really pushed her beyond arm's length. She handles him well and knows when to back off and when to push for him to chill out. He's grown a lot in a short amount of time. He just needs the right person to help him finish healing and learn that not everyone is all bad.
Ruby is optimistic to a fault. He's a bit annoying, but he can deal with him for the most part. He's still family, like it or not. He can tolerate him better than some of the rest, which is saying a lot. He backs down easily enough, which makes putting up with him ten times easier.
Milo's a bit funny to deal with sometimes. He's a little bit mean, and Ruby can't quite understand why despite his efforts to read him better and to try to make him more comfortable around him. Milo doesn't like anyone, so he's chalked it up to that and is perfectly okay with it. Not everyone is going to love him, and he can deal with that.
Coach is annoying and whiny and ungrateful, but all things considered, he's a friend whether he likes it or not. He still cares for him even if he won't admit it. He's still family, even if he's aggravating. It wouldn't feel quite right without Coach whining and complaining about everything anyway, right? Right... of course not.
Milo has a complicated relationship with Jay. The two attempted to be a pair early on, but for similarities to do with their abrasiveness and their tempers, and their methods of dealing with confrontation, it never worked out. The two resumed being good friends as though nothing happened. However, as Stryx came into the picture, Milo found himself jealous and searching for trouble again. He still likes Jay, but more in a platonic sense than anything else anymore.
After trying out a relationship with him, Jay had always felt the same about Milo. They are acquaintances and not much else. He didn’t feel differently about him then, and doesn’t now so that’s mostly why it didn’t work between them.
