Aside from Lena, Adair is the one deity who’s suffered the greatest changes throughout his long life.
Originally, when he was first created, he mostly defended an “an eye for an eye” kind of justice, but, after Lena appeared, her mercy influenced him and he begun to take a different approach to how he administered justice, looking more to repay the people who had lost something rather than taking from the ones who’d been unjust.
However, when Lena fell, he strongly opposed his siblings’ decision to isolate her from the world and erase her from memory, and he slowly begun to become estranged from them. At the same time, he started to have less and less patience with humans, who seemed to ceaselessly come to him asking for unfair retributions to even the most insignificant slights, or attempted to lie to him to get their cause to seem more just than it actually was. Little by little, he changed: whereas he used to only act when asked by someone with a just petition, he now ignores all human requests and instead acts where he decides he must, swiftly, decisively, and without any previous warning. When he decides that a situation requires his intervention, he imposes order through his colossal golems, and forces people to act in the just way or be punished. The actions he takes to administer justice verge on brutality, and so he’s become the most feared god.
His siblings fear he’ll be falling soon too, like Lena did.
His holy artifact is a staff with scales. He used to use it in his audiences with humans to reveal which side was the just one, but he never uses it anymore. He's the one who decides where justice resides now.
