The Rain's Links
Matchmaker...er, Rue I suppose, is the coolest! She's so refined and calm and elegant, nothing like me. We get along pretty well, when she's not trying to sneakily pull those darn cards out on me anyway. She told me she saw me as her sister once and I cried all night...Oh, out of happiness, I assure you! Not every rain is a sad one, you know.
I have a lot of respect for The Rain. She takes her Role seriously without being cutthroat about it, and she cares deeply for her Kith. I've told her she's always welcome to come have tea and get her cards read, but anytime I start talking potential matches, she runs away...
Ugh. The OTHER Rayne. Tch. Look, I don't hate her, but just being near her puts my teeth on edge. We can't be in the same room without ribbing each other within minutes. It's like with magnets, when two like poles get close they repel each other. That is me and Rayne.
We're pretty similar and that causes some tension between us, but I really hope we can get along better someday so I can be a part of the family she's gathered. It would be nice to be part of a family again...
He's little and fluffy and if you hurt him then there will be a new Tempest on the Stage.
We're family! Granted, I'm a little outside of the clan, not being a weather myself, but we still look out for one another. It can't be easy, being the face of the clan and putting up with the scrutiny of the elders, but she's really opened up since the Travelers started coaxing her down from the Loft.
STAY OUT OF MY LOFT!!! Do you know how dangerous it is up here? And you are most certainly NOT allowed to drop anything from this high, it's dangerous! UGH.
She does the weather stuff, right? If she makes rain, can she stop the rain too?
Wait! Do you think if I brought Dynrial with me she could ‘accidentally’ get his shirt wet?
..Ignore that last part. Who’s Dynrial? Never heard of him.
I never understand her...then again, I'm not the discerning-prophecies type. We move in different circles so I'm not really "supposed" to get any prophecies anyway, unless they're weather forecasts. I do know she seems to think I'm a rebel. Ha! I guess I am, by the old standards. I don't care. Narrator can't take my kith from me, not while I'm breathing. So why worry?
Capriciousness justifies.. nothing. Alliances m-must be broken.
Can you not hear His voice? Why must you join the rest in rebellion? Not.. Not making s-sense—
Uh...well, you know what they say! "Die young, leave a pretty corpse"? At least I don't look as gory as the Hero does as a zombie. Still, I am kind of worried about some of these implications...
Wh-WHAT FOUL SORCERY IS THIS? Who are you, and why do you have my face? And both eyes! WERE YOU THE ONE WHO TOOK MY EYE??? And why have you allied yourself to the servants of the Narrator? Nay, I say! This is a wicked deception! Believe it not, dear Audience!
It's not wise to bother the weather Roles, Gremlin. We're practically part of nature itself! Besides, you know my father would never tolerate your presence again if something "accidentally" happened to me. Now scurry off back to your plotting, or else I'll show you what happens when a storm holds a grudge...
Ooh, there's a LOT I can do with you... Though a veil would probably be real tough to add.. How is your father? Still spurning you and the rest of your family? Normally I wouldn't blame him, but there's just SO much dysfunction goin' on here I dunno why he wouldn't stick around to watch everything crash and burn~!
She is as sweet as a berry, isn't she? That must be how she got the Role of the Berry. Why are you laughing at me? Ahem. She seems to think that the strange doll that has my face is the same person as me, which I would take more offense to if she weren't so darn CUTE.
Oh! Rayne's grey today! Maybe it's cause she's feeling sad, cAN THAT HAPPEN??? I'll treat her extra nice today so she'll feel better!
Void is my cousin! Uh, distant cousin. We're actually not sure how we're related anymore, but they're still family! They get on my nerves, yeah, but they were always there for me and I've looked up to them - LITERALLY - all my life. (*Sigh.* I could never pull off those cool outfits or that makeup...)
