Poseidon is one of the older gods of Coral Bay. Being the god of the sea, Poseidon is one of the more important gods to the bay, protecting the bay from danger and blessing the fishing community with bountiful hauls in exchange for their worship.

Poseidon is the second tallest Olympian, standing at 8'0 feet tall, and is only beat out by Hades. Poseidon has blue skin that helps him blend into the water with darker blue markings similar to vitiligo. His hair is light blue and it seems to slowly sway like seaweed even when he's out of water.  He has bright green eyes with a pupil that grows and shrinks based on mood and where he is. He has razer sharp teeth that can come off as fairly intimidating. His fins on his head move based on his mood as well. 

Before the events of Coral Bay, Poseidon had been king of the sea since he and his siblings overthrow their father Cronus. As time had passed, Poseidon had stopped trying to overthrow Zeus, merely butting heads with him and arguing with him from time to time. As the events of Coral Bay draws closer with the arrival of Jasper, Dami, and Morris, Poseidon happened to notice that while Dami developed fire powers first, he also seemed drawn to the sea and seemed to be able to effect it. With this in mind, Poseidon started training Dami alongside Hestia so that he could learn both sides of his powers. Poseidon enjoyed Dami's bold and determined personality, and Dami learned fast how to control the waters due to this. 

After the attack lunched on the gods of Olympus by the demons succeeded and discorperated most of the gods, weakening them enough for them to loss their chosen forms, Poseidon stuck close to Dami so he could continue to guide him during the turbulent task of reconstructing the sea around the bay, as well as reminding him of his strengths. After an attack by some demons results in Poseidon, as well as Hades and Athena being separated from the group, they are saved by a betrayal within the demon's ranks. After being dropped into the forest around the bay, the three gods reform and are found by Eros, and start making their way back to reunite with the rest of the gods.

Amphitrite

Poseidon and Amphitrite have a generally more relaxed relationship. Unlike Hera, Amphitrite isn't worried about Poseidon finding someone else to be queen of the seas, and has even help some of Poseidon's children if they're in need. In the end, Poseidon always comes back to Amphitrite, and the two clearly love and respect eachother. Amphitrite helps balance out Poseidon's headstrong nature and has been known to calm his rage.

Nerites

Nerites is one of Poseidon's male lovers, and has the particular distinction of being an ocean deity, as well as being Poseidon's charioteer. The two are the prime example of mutual love, and as a result they are pretty close and can be seen together often. Nerites is also Amphitrite younger brother, and like his other lovers, she is okay with their relationship and welcomes seeing her brother more often.  

• Poseidon normally ends up running into Apollo at random, and the two seem to get along well enough.
