Appearance

Tatsuya has brown fluffy hair and green eyes. He's rather tall for his age, clocking in at 179 cm. Despite his goody two shoes appearance, his ears are actually pierced.

At school, he wears a black cardigan with the tie outside for the winter uniform. In summer, he just wears the regular uniform. When it comes to casual clothes, he likes to wear those that are simple, casual, and refreshing.

Personality

Tatsuya is optimistic and idealistic, almost hopelessly so. Because of his bright disposition, he can be likened to the sun, in contrast to his best friend Natsumi being the moon. He's generally good-natured and doesn't get mad easily, so there's very few people he actually dislikes openly. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is super transparent regarding his feelings, especially compared to his little sister. When he gets depressed, he usually sulks for a while and then bounces back like nothing happened.

Because of shoujo manga, he has heightened expectations for romance, which tends to scare off the girls he dates. Due to this, his relationships never last for long. Ironically, despite his obssession with love, he can be oblivious at times, especially regarding Natsumi's feelings for him.

Relationships

Natsumi Uehara  [ Childhood Friend ]

Neighbors and best friends since they were kids. The two are extremely close and do almost everything together, in particular always walking home together. They have a somewhat boke-tsukkomi relationship, with Natsumi being the boke and Tatsuya being the tsukkomi. Because of their closeness, people tend to mistake them for a couple. Natsumi actually is secretly in love with him but Tatsuya remains oblivious, though he's unknowingly fixated on her. He calls her Nacchan.

Ayase Sato  [ Little Sister ]

The two have a typical brother-sister relationship, always clingy and very lively. Tatsuya has somewhat of a sister complex and tries to be affectionate with Ayase sometimes, but she often acts annoyed with his affection. In general, Tatsuya is a good big brother, always looking out for Ayase and protecting her if need be. Because he's a scaredy cat, he often relies on her to get rid of bugs in the house.

Rin Matsumoto  [ Clubmate ]

Members of the art club, with Tatsuya being Rin's senpai. She looks up to him for some reason and while he finds it a bit odd at first, he strives to look out for her as well and sees her as another cute little sister. He's a little... concerned about Rin's interests and sometimes tries to get her to read shoujo manga to "purify" her (it didn't work).
