“Maz likes to visit and look at my collection. She is welcome here.”
“Coolest guy in Bilgewater if you ask me. He’s got the weirdest stuff and it’s so cool.”
“You are not allowed in here.”
“Is that a pickled eel in a jar?!”
“I heard about a scientist that abruptly left Piltover…”
“Good stuff. Not sure how the boys in Piltover would feel about you, but I hear Zaun is nice this time of year.”
“Something about her intimidates me. I don’t show it.”
"Two merchants, two very different item catalogues. I've never bought a thing from Caivaris and I probably won't, it just isn't my kind of magic. I do know that Xena makes purchases from him often, something about trying to cure her affliction. He seems nice enough to her so I let him hang around The Emporium from time to time."
“I’d like to get one of his venomous spines, or maybe more if he would let me… He does not like me. He bit me once.”
Haolu hated the idea of being touched by this strange man. If he dared to take anything from Viv, he would bite him again.
“Pascal is nice. I get the feeling that he doesn’t like my shop…but that’s all right. He still is willing to help. I appreciate that.”
"Caivaris makes an honest living and seems like a genuine guy even if goods he sells freak me out a little bit. Even if I prefer to keep my distance, me and my friends are willin to keep an eye out for him and his shop. Especially with all the criminal activity around here, I wouldn't be shocked if he gets targeted for owning all these deadly concoctions, people are willing to go too far in their crimes against others."
Caivaris observed the spine, fascinated with it. He seemed a little distracted, but when he glanced over at Viv, he straightened himself up and cleared his throat. “I, um, uh… Thanks.”
"You wish for one of my spines? What, to put it into a jar? How odd... You topsiders will never make much sense to me. Fine, take it." Vivenaiphi fires one of her poisoned barbs at Caivaris, smiling and showcasing her sharp teeth as he quickly catches it in a glass jar. His reflexes were quick, she could use that to her advantage. Perhaps he would prove useful to her after all...
“He makes me nervous. Sometimes I get self-conscious when I see his wares. He does know how to make a killing…”
“She is so nice to me. I don’t know why. But it’s nice…”
"Yeah, I've bought a potion or two from him before. They didn't work or cure my curse but it was worth a shot. Honestly, I usually just go to his shop to give him some company. He might be a bit unsettling at first but once you get to know him, he's a really nice guy! I'd give him a hug but you know... Energy vampirism and all."
“My words get caught in my throat every time she’s looked at me. She’s…really something.”
"I have no need for anything he's selling, nor do I find any need to be in his company. I'm very busy, and conversing with a man who can't finish a sentence seems like a big waste of my time, even if he is handsome."
“Uh— H-Huh? What?” She spoke so quickly and said so much, and whatever words Caivaris did catch, he had to process with visible rosy cheeks. “Wait— What did— What?”
"Caivvvvvvvvvvvv! We should totally get out and do something fun! How about... skinny dipping? Maybe we can hunt for shells or something. Wait, do you even sell shells? Caivaris Qildor sells sea shells from behind his shop door...." She giggles to herself and an audible groan is heard from the snake around her shoulders. "Anjali... Really?" She scoffs and smiles as she playfully rolls her eyes. "What!? Dhaval, you have to admit... he's pretty cute!"
“The way she looks at me makes me nervous. At least my goods are important to her associates.”
"I would pray that he gets a boyfriend or girlfriend soon, perhaps even both. His attachment issues are glaring but the quality of his supply is unmatched. The potion makers in the Brotherhood of Danfe appreciate him greatly."
“Very kind. It makes me happy when she visits.”
"I have little need for magical trinkets but I make sure to visit his little shop every time I'm in Bilgewater. He has something new to offer every time, what a resourceful little man."
“He comes around a lot but doesn’t buy anything. Something is off. I can feel him watching. If he lingers too long, I’ll watch back.”
"Viv is always asking me to spy on this guy.... He seems a little odd but aren't we all? I mean... this is kinda Bilgewater. From what I know, Caivaris is pretty nice! His stare could turn somebody to stone though.."
Caivaris hardly had a moment to react. His words were caught in his throat; and by the time he could even choke out a 'thank you', the man was already gone.
He leans against the counter and makes eye contact with Caivaris, giving him a soft smile as he places the various shells and sea trinkets he found in Caivaris' shop on the counter. "You have good wares, I'm impressed." He places a generous pouch of coins on the counter before taking his prize in his arms and scuttling out of the shop without another word."
“The big pink lady likes to buy my stuff… She’s nice. And tall. She should carry me. Wait—“
"What a weird little guy.... Luckily, I like weird little guys. Caiv is a good egg. I won't give it away but I did buy one of the secret ingredients for the Pororita from him. I guess in part he's responsible for my success in my little Zaunite paradise."
“The— Um…” Caivaris looked around his counter, trying to see or recall anything he might have had. “Do you like bones? Or, do you like mollusks? Or, do you like me? I mean— Do you like bones?”
"What do ya got for me, Caiv? Ooh, I can't wait to see your new trinkets! Do you have anything that you think would flatter me?" She blinks her long lashes at the man, giving him a demure look. "I've got coin to spend."
“I— Y-Yes, I have some I gathered from the wetlands nearby…” Caivaris twiddled his thumbs together and avoided eye contact. “I’ll show you. You can sort through them and I’ll watch you fondly while you do it. I mean— Take a look! Here—“
"Caiv!" He leans against the shop counter and places a hand underneath his chin for balance. "Do you have any interesting seeds? Honestly I'll take whatever you've got. You've always got the best supply, you know that right?" He smiles and gives the shopkeeper a wink. "By the way, you're looking good today. Any changes in your routine?"
Caivaris did find the trick fascinating and was a little disappointed when it ended so quickly. As for his guest’s other comment, he had no idea what was really being said. “You…sell bones?”
"You have so many bones lying around here." He quickly revives one of the skeletons in Caivaris' shop and makes it do a dance before laying it to rest once more. "I could give you another one, if you'd like." He gives the mage a wink, very clearly flirting with him.
The song would be unnecessary, as Caivaris, his face already red with embarrassment, was quickly turning away to pull the skull off the wall. “You don’t have to pay that much for it. It’s got a set price. Doyouwantme? I mean— Do you want it? I’ll sell it fairly—!”
"Caivaris! Your little shop is such a lovely place. Now, that skull on the wall. I want it! Oh, please let me have it! I'll pay top dollar for it! Please, please, please! You're just so adorable~!" She speaks in a song like manner towards Caivaris, attempting to sway his emotions with her siren song.
“He sticks out a lot around here. He doesn’t like Bilgewater either; but he’s nice to me…and he comes all the way here to visit me…to buy things, of course. Unless…..”
"I don't exactly know what the petrified tail of a fish will do for my potions but I appreciate being able to purchase them here! You can't find supplies like these in Noxus so I have to travel to... Ugh. Bilgewater... Just the smell of this place gives me a headache. At least Caivaris is interesting enough to make the trip worth my time."
“Huh.” Caivaris seemed like he was trying to process what he was told, but he looked more embarrassed than anything since she read him like a book. “I— The— C-Cafe? Go to—“ He suddenly turned around and walked out.
"My, my! You certainly have a great number of emotions, don't you? I don't know which to process first; the desire to get me to purchase something or the desires of... romance that you are projecting onto me. I find your mind to be fascinating! You are truly an interesting person, especially amongst the thousands I have an encountered. We should go to a cafe in the future, I think we would get along well."
“She’s very imposing…but polite. I’m curious about her condition. I wonder if she’ll come back…”
"There are a few times I have had to come to his shop for items relating to my curse. He has not once said anything besides a few incomprehensible words... I would not be surprised if my condition were off-putting to him, as it is to most."
“He’s…very handsome. Very charming…and he comes all the way from Piltover to see me…”
“Sometimes I need specific things for specific reasons. Caiv provides those specific things. He never asks questions…and a little charm is such an easy way to get discounts.”
“Meno— Oh, he—… Uh…” The mere thought of him was making Caiv’s cheeks flush. The things he had been told have been, well…flustering.
"I don't have any use for potions or jars filled to the brim with guts but I always like visiting Caiv! He's such a fun guy to mess with. I've been trying to get him to go skinny dipping with me for months but I think he assumes that I'm joking whenever I suggest it... I genuinely want to."
