“The fellow had it coming! You know it as well as I do! Can we just talk about this later? Look, I will not fracture a man’s fingers in front of guests again, all right? I would much rather not have some miscreant soil our establishment’s name, and especially not your own name.” Halvet folded his arms, looking rather annoyed. It was almost amusing to see how easily he folded when looking into Aldaun’s amber stare for too long.
"I' thank you for... defending my honor, in a way. I suppose there's no need for further reprimanding, seeing as that damned troublemaker had it coming, but perhaps do stay in the back for a bit, yes? I'll deal with the guests for now" Aldaun pat his back gently, this was gonna be a long night, but out of all of Halvet's outbursts... this was rather tame!
“You have given us some great contraptions over the years, Semblance. I do hope that you share with me what your next project is…and how I can obtain it should I want it.”
“I know better than to get on your bad side, and you know better than to get on mine. It’s why we work so well together. I got a few things I can show you. By the way, how’s Al?”
“Oh, I have not a single problem with Ven. Yes, he’s a meager, miserable little fellow, but as long as he’s here with us, why give him more nerves than he already has?”
"He's nice to me... Too nice. I always wonder whether or not I'm crashing from a sugar high whenever he compliments me. One time, he put his hand on my shoulder and told me I was doing a good job. I was so afraid that he was going to smash my skull with his ice pick."
“Another good set, Rayaro. The crowds love you! You make it so lively here…even more so than any club in Piltover. Or Zaun. Especially Zaun.” Halvet put a hand on Rayaro’s shoulder. “Be happy that you have not failed us yet.”
"Yes sir, o-of course! I'll make sure to not fail you!" Rayaro was always nervous around Halvet, he's seen what he's capable of and he needs his hands to DJ so!
“I know you make the people nervous, One, but I respect your vision of the world. While it may not be for me, I enjoy our dealings. You are straightforward and no-nonsense. It’s all a great thing to me.”
“You are one of my easier customers to make exchanges with.”
“Zaun deserves better? Zaun deserves nothing, especially not me. What I do is for my associates alone… You best not stick your nose where it doesn’t belong, assassin.”
"I won't do a damn thing for a little bitch like you. Zaun deserves better than you. Hell, I bet your business partner knows he could do better too."
“Yes, I have your platter of meatballs right here. Now, remember our deal… Keep your business here, all right?” Halvet felt some nerves wracking, but he kept his relaxed composure.
“Meatball tax! Meatball tax! Time to pay the Meatball tax!”
“I know that my sharp tools will have no affect on you, but that does not worry me. Do not think that I do not know who you are. I could very easily compromise you should you get out of line. Remember that.”
“Your threats are empty. You don’t scare me, Halvet. None of you do. Stay out of our business or I’ll introduce you to the pavement.”
“So not only are you a forgettable gaffer, but all you do is patrol this ancient worthless pile of rubble and debris? What a waste you are, even if you did have potential. You are not worth the sand you stand on, you giant oaf.” Halvet made a rude gesture and left with his nose turned up. He remembered Aldaun and the rhino’s last conversation vividly.
“I cannot explain why this one is so hostile toward me. All I know is that I am not fond of his attitude.”
Halvet looked a little embarrassed, but he was able to keep his usual disposition. “Ha. You’ve got jokes… Regardless, YOU of all people have no right to speak of our positions in any way. I may be able to appreciate how you run your business behind closed doors, but careful with what you dare to say to me. I’d rather keep this rivalry clean, wouldn’t you?”
"Not my business what you and the tiger get up to but I think it's adorable how quick you are to rush to his defense. You're more of a beast than he is but then again... Somebody has to wear the pants in the relationship."
“Man-whore?! MAN-WHORE?! How dare you say such a thing!” *Halvet was this close to pulling out his ice pick and getting into a fight with a physically superior being. “Keep any mention of Aldaun out of your mouth! As for your humongous simpleton, KEEP HIM. In fact, keep him FAR AWAY. It should not be hard, since it’s not like he’ll move away from that stupid pile of rubbish he tends to mope around in!”
"So you're that Piltie's friend, eh? You better keep and eye on that damn tiger man-whore! If I see him try to flirt with my Bata I will NOT be held accountable for my actions!"
“A demon woman. Big woof.”
"HONESTLY... I support chasing the bag and I definitely support chasing the person you want cause I mean... Look at my situation! But wow, you are just a very unlikable human! I mean fuck, man. You made me feel something I never thought I would ever feel before. You made me feel bad for Maritti. That is such nasty work."
Halvet felt his frustration rising, but managed to keep himself under control. Too many people around. He smiled, his eye slightly twitching. “A bit rude to make assumptions about someone like that. I will let it slide this time.” He would not have if given the opportunity.
"You make a decent enough attempt at concealing your emotions. Unfortunately, you are human and I am empathic. You attempt to maintain your composure but every time that you see him interacting with another... you feel a tinge of jealousy. You become enraged and violent. For all of your sly traits, you are still painfully human. Perhaps one day, you will get what you wish for."
“YOU BIG UGLY BITCH.”
"Sir are ya gonna buy somethin' or do I have to throw ya out again"
“When he comes in for drinks, he tends to have difficulty looking to me whenever he addresses me. I wonder why. Perhaps he just knows better and is intimidated by me… Ah, that must be it.” Another day without anyone knowing about the fabled box in Shurima!
"I made the mistake of looking into his thoughts, so unhinged and... lustful. He wants Aldaun, bad. I'd tease him but... I'd like to keep my limbs for now! I'll just keep ordering my usual and pretend I didn't get a high-definition look at his newest fantasy. Or the fact that he has a secret box buried in Shurima with gods-know-what"
“Fucking BITCH.”
"My opinion on this guy? Let's see, he's batshit insane, crazy jealous and a walking liability. He gets so mad whenever his dumbass co-worker even so much as has a thought about me, and I've caught him glaring at me from the distance on more than a few occasions. Usually, I don't care if I'm in a man's head rent-free, but this bitch is crazy. Not only that, but I've seen one of his meltdowns before and it's kinda embarrassing. A preschooler has achieved better emotional maturity than he could ever think possible. And all of this is over a man? Not just a man, but a PILTOVIAN BLACK ROSE MEMBER? I would say the standards are low, but his actions fit what he's trying to achieve. Anyways, I'm not losing any sleep over him, after all, these are the guys getting their asses kicked by an adult-child with a bow and a few portals. I could break his neck with my heel."
Halvet’s eye twitched. He felt the urge to punch the wall or stick something through this lion’s abdomen. “HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED DYING?”
"Ugh, enter Aldaun's boy toy... look man, I'm not here to cause any trouble! Swear on my parents I never met! Also afraid I know jack shit about this guitar's powers, but it's only for me anyways, the gods of rock made it so that only I can wield it hahaha!"
Halvet kept his usual charming grin, although it was mostly one of feign creation at this time. “We will keep you in mind if we need the extra help… Though, I do think we have strong enough defenses at this time.”
"I've seen men like you before. Handsome, charming, definitely hiding something... but it wouldn't be very ladylike of me to pry~." She laughs and leans forward. "If you and Aldaun need a girl that can help take care of anybody that poses a threat to the lounge, you know who to contact."
“I have taught myself to ignore her. Next time, I won’t give her the satisfaction.”
"I purposefully try to make our fights last as long as possible just because it's so funny to watch him get so mad. I haven't tried the portal trick on him yet though! Maybe I should."
“Yes, I have misbehaved a little toward her…but I have also realized that it is useless to keep pursuing this meager hick over things I can settle elsewhere. I’ve made due without her and have found solutions far more advantageous and not so plaintive. She and her boy can stay far deep in the depths of Zaun for all I care.”
"I have a whole drawer of death threats from this fellow just because I keep tellin' his business partner I ain't interested in helping them with anything. He can get as angry about it as he wants, until he shows up down here, I ain't worryin' about it. And if and when he does, it'll be the last mistakes he makes."
“Sometimes I need specific things for specific reasons. Caiv provides those specific things. He never asks questions…and a little charm is such an easy way to get discounts.”
“He’s…very handsome. Very charming…and he comes all the way from Piltover to see me…”
“Only the best jewelry comes from the Zugravescu family. I wear their product all the time, everyday. I just wish that this particular fellow would keep his eyes off Aldaun…but I have to restrain myself. I need my Zugravescu diamonds. I can’t compromise that.”
“The roguish one? Oh, yes. A loyal customer and quite a handsome man. He wears our diamonds well. I do enjoy how uncomfortable he gets when I talk about his partner though. I find it amusing.”
"You aren't the usual type of person who comes and asks for flowers. I can already tell that you don't want them for yourself." She turns around and grabs a pen and parchment and begins to scribble down some notes. "So. How many roses and to who and where am I sending them?"
“Her creations are deadly and beautiful! What I would give for some details, or a look in her shop… Of course, I can’t promise that I wouldn’t scoop up some blueprints on the way out…”
“Too nosy in my business just to benefit his own. He is not often in my presence, but whenever he is, he asks far too many questions about my projects. That little rogue needs to realize that I make weapons for Noxus and Noxus alone… I am no restaurant supply store.”
