Powers

Trilofrites fall under the morph power class. What they morph is not themselves, but rather their opponent. They will crawl over to you and grab you with their tendrils. As they hold on you will slowly begin to turn into a literal fossil as a rocky membrane spreads over your body. The membrane eats away at flesh and solidifies into solid stone preserving only your bones until the trilofrites pluck them out and eat them.

Appearance

These strange creatures are arthropods with black tendrils and an orange shell lined with black spikes. It has red star shaped face. The prupose of this shape is heavily debated whether its just cosmetic or if the reason is self defense. Besides this they also have white dots on their head that can light up like blinking lights.

Other

Trilofrites are another member of the specter social class. They are hard to read on a personality level and show little to no emotion in their actions. People have never performed an autopsy on these creatures due to them dissolving into sand once cracked open. This had led to many to think that they are only animated husks, lacking any vital organs, or a stomach for that matter.

Story

Trilofrites are another victim of the red star cataclysm. Once there were fossils of species long since gone from Personalia. Once the red star exploded some trilobite fossils were in enough range of it to recieve the effects of the cataclysm. Their bodies revived but felt hollow inside. They now roam the seafloor waiting for something to float down and grab with their tendrils. They grab the poor soul and fossilize it to extract its bones to consume. The process makes it feel less hollow.

Trivia

● They always come in swarms. Its unusual to see one alone.

● It cannot swim and must crawl on any surface it can get on.

● As soon as seawater or air reaches inside its shell it will die.

● It can communicate through morse code and blinking its lights.
