Powers

Nihijellies are bio power class emotibeasts. Their power involves a special neurotoxin that will alter your mind into a nihilistic state. You won't care what happens to you even if a predator rips you apart. All you will be able to do is stare off and contemplate the mystery of the universe. Only certain emotibeasts are immune to this toxin such as the dragruins.

Appearance

A nihijelly is green and ocean blue. They have long tentacles and frilly ones as well. Underneath its cap is a series of small organisms that work together as  face for the nihijelly. There are small tendrils with orbs at the end to serve as eyes, stingers to trap prey, and a mouth to break open prey. They are quite big for jellyfish standards and can get up to four feet

Other

Nihijellies are members of the specter social class just like many of the creatures in these waters. They don't really have personalities or attitudes. They simply go along with the currents without a care or worry in the world. They move in swarms, but sometimes they are captured and brought to cities as a defensive measure. They're handy for keeping Gargasaurs and other aggressive species at ease. They don't seem to care either way. Life is life, and living it is all you can do in the end. 

Story

The nihijellies are the most recent members of the island. No one is sure of their origin. Studies on their anatomy yielded no clues of their origin other that they have the same kind of myst that make up other emotibeasts. People have even considered that they are evolved from alien organisms that were flung onto personalia from meteors. Either way, the nihijellies only started living in Madalantis after the disappearance of Xiphos. There are millions of them living in the submarine canyon known as the Nihl Current. They ride along the current there and let it carry them without a care in the world.

Trivia

● They have some sense of community, a lost nihijelly will naturally drift towards others. It is possible to use them as a locator for the Nihl Current.

● Dragruins will eat nihijellies sometimes.

● The Coralax is simply too tired to be affected and will usually end up freezing them.

●  The effects of the neurotoxin are thankfully temporary.
