Dymitri is a man obssessed with several things: The reputation of his family, the perserverance of the "pure" human, and bringing lifestyles he doesn't approve of under his thumb.
Specifically, Dymitri can't stand the co-mingling of humans and other races, be they elven, dragon, spirit, otherwise. He finds relationships between them abhorrent and depraved. He knows there's little that he can do about it as he is, a noble family but still a relatively minor one, so he studies ways to bind and subjucate spirits as the dragons do. He finds Kova's Bond especially interesting, as the only Spirit known capable of being bound by humans, and he wants to study it deeply in an attempt to replicate and empower it in an attempt to bind the Great Spirit, Rapture. With the power of Rapture, he's certain he could do whatever he pleases, which happens to be forcing his will on the world at large.
Plot Points
- Dymitri is just Percy's asshole older brother who likes having someone he can boss around, and is willing to do to extreme lengths to keep the Bareleaux name's reputation in tact.
- Dymitri seeks to study Kova's bond and is willing to go to any lengths necessary to do so.

Summary
Dymitri isn't used to being denied or not getting what he wants, and lashes out both emotionally and physically at those who get in the way of what he's trying to do. He has a special hatred for Penny, who utterly denies him and calls him out on his mistreatment of his brother and obsession with getting his way. He's also a worse fighter and magic wielder than she is, and she could, and has, kicked his ass, and nothing in the world makes him angrier.
He's truly not all that impressive of a fighter at all. Even Percy has a better grasp of how to use a rapier, their family's weapon on choice, and is better at using magic. But after a single victory against Dymitri that led to weeks of torment, Percy began to pull his punches when they practiced together.
Design
• Unlike Percy, Dymitri has green eyes and no white streaks in his hair.
• Looks so punchable, always.
• Actually about an inch shorter than Percy, which makes him indescribably annoyed. He's a bit stockier than Percy too, who is long and lanky looking.
Trivia
• The kind of person who would watch the Hunchback of Notre Dame and not understand why Frollo is a bad guy.
• Literally a sociopath.
• For all of his preaching, Dymitri isn't particularly loyal to his religion, just his family (or at least, the name of it). He just finds it a useful manipulation tool and reputation tactic, and justification for what he wants to do. It can be ignored when it doesn't suit his needs at the time.

Percy
His younger brother, Dymitri considers Percy a waste of space and an embarassment to their family. Fully willing to bully Percy into doing what he thinks would be useful. Spent their childhood tormenting him in various ways. Enjoys Percy's fear of him greatly.
Penelope
Their mutual hatred for each other is truly the stuff of legends. Their are always hostile towards to each other, with zero subtlety. They will attempt to kill each other on sight.
Kova
Finds his, and in particular with Bond and the means by which its used, fascinating and desperately wants to study it and own the Bond, but can't stand him as a person.
Vivienne
While she's Dymitri's aunt, he doesn';t consider her family and can't stand to be around her, particuarly because she will take absolutely none of his shit lying down.
