Percy is a quiet boy, not the type to disobey his parents or disagree with anything. He's easily cowed and knows it, and would rather be left alone than in the company of anyone. It doesn't help tha this family is incredibly overbearing, but he finds most of his joy in being alone and getting lost in history and stories. He can enthusiastically recite decades of history and the lore of mythology, but no one has every really asked.
His upbringing was heavily religious, and while he's always found the teachings laregely disagreeable, he still harbors a significant amount of moral guilt relating to this upbringing, and will often use it as an excuse to avoid tasks he doesn't want to do, which are many.
He is, however, cursed with Lycanthropy. He's missing a finger on one hand, and if asked, he'll say a horse bit it off when he was young. In reality, it was lost in a werewolf attack, and much to his family's shame, he now bears the curse. His lycanthropic form is utterly feral and horrifically violent, but occasionally shows glimmers of sanity to people he cares very deeply about.

Summary
Growing up in a strict, religious household, Percy has lived a very limited and regimented life. He dislikes it greatly, but has never had the courage to try to change or defy it, and meekly accepts that he's not his parent's favorite child, and is only around in case something were to happen to his brother. With that seeming incredibly unlikely, he grows less and less relevant to his family's affairs as the years go by, and he's content to live in relative obscurity and unimportance.
Percy was born a sickly child, which and only got worse as he aged. His illness was a rare and aggressive form of acute childhood lukemia, that despite treatment, never seemed to get better. He spent much of his time bedridden, feverish, and tired, the times he felt strong enough to get up few and far between. In his early teens, during one of Percy's first and last acts of childish disobedience, he snuck out into the night into the woods behind the family manor on a dare from his brother. Late in the night, he was attacked by a wolf. He barely managed to escape with his life, and his left arm is covered in scars, and his pinkie finger on his left hand was removed completely. The wolf turned out to be a loose lycanthrope, and Percy has been afflicted ever since. The curse of lycanthropy cured his worsening condition, effectively saving his life, at a heavy cost.
The full effect of the bite was discovered the next full moon, when he transformed and murdered a housekeeper who had often taken care of him as a child, a crime quickly covered up by his parents. Ever since then, Percy has been a quiet shut-in, only leaving the manor if he must, afraid of the outside world and the harm it could do to him, and he could inflict upon it. Every full moon, he's locked in a reinforced dungeon cell to wait out his violent and angry transformation.
He simply exists in a sorry state of accepting that he's not going to amount to much or be very important. He knows he should have died many years ago, and part of him is sure his family resents the fact that he survived and became a larger burden by being afflicted.
Percy absolutely detests violence. On the off-chance he has to fight, however, he is proficient in using both magic and rapier. He likes to weild both at the same time, often using flashy magic to blind or surprise, and then moving in for a lunge with the rapier. Fighting is always his asbolutely last resort, however.
Percy's relationship with his parents is basically non-existant or outright hostile. His mother chooses to ignore her children's existance, considering birthing them to be the end of her obligation to a marriage she didn't really want, and his father vastly prefers his brother, and isn't subtle about his preference and distaste for Percy.
In some AUs, he has a small cream-colored cat named Miss Applesauce. He adores cats, and likes most dogs, but very large canines make him uneasy. Generally, the smaller the critter, the more Percy likes it. Likes the idea of rats, but finds them a bit too stinky to consider keeping one.
If allowed to choose a surname for himself, he would pick Bedrydant, after one of the knights of the round table.
Design
• Percy looks perpetually tired, and has dark bags under his eyes. Percy is also missing his pinky finger on his left hand. He's almost always wearing gloves, but if shown his left arm is covered in long, pale, and jagged scars.
• He has a few shocks of stark white running through his blond hair. The largest patch is the right side of his bangs, which is a sizeable chunk.
• His werewolf form never looks sane. It's hollow-eyed, feral, and lanky.
• Percy's ponytail is usually laying against his back but can be drawn over his shoulder.
Trivia
• Percy's birthday is May 12th.
• His middle name is Luthain.
• Probably sounds like Todd Haberkorn.
• In a modern setting, Percy is the son of of an old wealth family, but still not liked much by them. If asked about his passions, he would begin a lecture on Dark Souls lore that gets uncomfortably long.
• A savant at video games. The more pointless and stupid the game is, the better he is at it. He enjoys most types of games, but especially story and lore driven ones. He gets really into them, and loves to talk about them. He's also a huge Lord of the Rings nerd, and has read The Silmarillion multiple times and enjoyed it.
• If asked about his finger, he says a horse bit it off when he was young. To maintain the truth of the story, a wily young stallion was killed around the time of his attack for being "too aggressive", and he harbors guilt about it to this day. Horses don't like him much at all on account of his being a lycanthrope, but he blames the uneasiness on the ghost of that horse telling them to bite him. Despite this, he loves the idea of unicorns and wants to see one desperately. He considers them a wholly seperate animal from horses and not like them at all.
• Despite being left-handed and missing a finger, Percy has incredibly neat handwriting. He mostly writes in a blocky print that looks like it came from a typewriter.
• Percy is very good at determining when people are lying to him. Whether he decides to do anything about it, however, is a different matter.
• Absolutely a freak if given the chance. Would let a horrifying monster raw him and enjoy it greatly.
• Percy's Lycanthropy has given him a form of Hyperphagia where he can never feel content from food.
• Percy has mild insomnia, and doesn't sleep often or well. He always seems to have dark bags under his eyes as a result.
• He has NO sense of direction. In a city he will immediately get lost without guidance, and it takes him a very long time to get anywhere even with very clear directions.
Familiar
Percy often has a small orange cat familiar named Queen Regnant Miss Applesauce, First of her Name, or just Applesauce for short. Applesauce has cerabellar hyperplasia, or wobbly cat syndrome, and isn't much use as a familiar, but Percy loves her dearly. She often rides on his shoudlers or in the hood of his cloak, and helps him navigate by meowing at him when he takes a wrong turn after inevitably getting lost due to his terrible sense of direction.
Miss Applesauce can be turned into a large tiger from time to time, but she's still wobbly even when she's huge, so most often this only happens as a fairly hollow threat from the familiar or when Percy needs something to lean on.
She loves attention, and anyone who offers to pet her will receive enthusiastic headbutts. Not being liked by Applesauce is a fairly difficult feat to achieve, and if Applesauce is wary, Percy immediately becomes so as well. He trusts the cat's judgement more than his own.

Penelope
Meeting when Penelope stopped by his family estate to play as a bard, Penny helped him come out of his shell somewhat and be more assertive in his wants and needs through the power of bullying him until he broke. He didn't appreciate it at the time, but finds it funny in hindsight.
Still, she enjoys Percy's company, and finds him delightfully pitiful. She would defend him from harm with her life, if needed. Along with Kova, they have a very loose and almost entirely physical polyarmorous relationship.
She occasionally calls him 'Gucci' as a fond nickname, which he can't stand. She also calls him Birdie, Golden Boy, and PeeBee.
Kova
Meeting the spirit through Penelope, at first Percy really only sought to academically understand Kova, being fascinated with the nature of spirits. But over a bit of forced time spent together, they became actual friends. Much like Penelope, Kova would fight for Percy if need be, and feels a certain amount of guardianship over him. That being said, he still enjoys teasing and tormenting him, as Kova does with all people.
He somehow manages to be the more emotionally supportive one between himself and Penelope.
Tyta
Percy has no idea what his relationship to this enigmatic spirit is, but she likes to drop by and deliver him odd tomes to study, so he imagines she likes him, to some degree. He finds her utterly indecipherable cryptic nonsense frustrating and confusing, but otherwise enjoys her unusual, yet quirky, demeanor.
She'll freely and happily lend Percy her power whenever he asks, but Percy tries very hard to not take advantage of this and does so very rarely.
Dymitri
Percy's insufferable douche of an older brother. Percy can barely stand to be in the same room as him. But Dymitri is ruthless, aggressive, and knows exactly what to say to deeply hurt someone emotionally, so Percy is also deeply afraid of his older brother, and fears his wrath. Goes out of his way to tip-toe around Dymitri's temper, and will freeze up in his presence.

Mythias
A visitor to Myth's library, Percy can get lost among the books and items for weeks if he's allowed. Myth enjoys his company, because Percy humors his love of gossip and sharing fine tea. In turn, he can study Myth, a powerful spirit. Percy enjoys being doted on by the spirit as he attempts to bribe Percy to stay at the library more than he's willing to admit.

Ainsley
The two met by complete happenstance as Ainsley traveled, and being trained in medicinal magics, visited Percy when he was young. Ainsley was the one who delivered the unfortunate news he likely wouldn't live to adulthood. However, when his condition improved, Percy reached out to Ainsley to thank him and speak more. The two often exchange letters, both being academically minded, and Ainsley occasionally send him texts and letters on his research into curing lycanthropy.
