Sinclair

Sinclair, sometimes called "Sin," is an enthusiastic and adventurous marine biologist who is always seeking to learn more about the deep ocean blue. He often wears a souvenir captain's hat for fun and likes to dress up as a pirate on Halloween, complete with a pirate accent and roleplaying. He's always seen smiling and is rarely ever sad. He likes to be positive about life and find the good in everything if possible. A part of him strongly believes that large, undiscovered creatures live in the ocean depths. Even surviving dinosaurs, perhaps? He'd like to find out for himself.

Sin is rather handy on his own, with ample training in survival, diving, and boating. He will sometimes rent out boats to go on diving or sailing expeditions with fellow marine enthusiasts for fun. Nobody has to worry about him going off on his own - he knows what he's doing. He exercises often and enjoys swimming on hot summer days.
One day, he'd like to own his very own boat instead of having to constantly rent one out at the docks. It's his biggest dream, and he'll keep saving up for as long as it takes.

Sin is known to be realistic and somewhat blunt when it comes to explaining things. He doesn't like humanizing wildlife and doesn't cut corners when he has to talk about life. As part of his job, he educates both children and adults on the importance of caring for ocean life and how to preserve it for years to come. He's very good and patient with children, which makes teaching them a breeze. He'll always find a way to make boring education more fun and likes to offer hands-on projects to get people involved.
For no particular reason, he likes to toss in random pirate facts with his educational blurbs.

Sin keeps a couple of fishy companions at home - mostly tropical species and coral. His main pet, Kraken, lives at the wildlife research center where he works, since Kraken is also an animal ambassador that Sin brings to educational shows. He always ensures that Kraken and his fish get the highest quality care and plenty of enrichment and space to roam around in. In fact, most of Sin's income goes straight to his animals first, before he adds to his personal savings for his dream boat.

He has a fear of heights and can only feel safe as long as he can keep his toes on the ground. Though, he seems perfectly fine with being on a large-scale ship or in the lighthouse.

Sin loves seafood, but he'd never eat octopi. He'd feel too guilty about eating something like Kraken.

When Sin was a young teen, he found himself lost in a terrible seaside storm and separated from his family. He was adopted by his aunt, Zyanya, and most of his past was left a mystery. She became the most important person in his life - his mother figure.

Despite all this, Sin would find himself returning to the ocean over and over, and he never developed a fear towards the powerful waves or the dark depths. He still finds himself visiting the lighthouse often anyways, even if it's on a scary clifftop.

As a kid, Sin liked to make little paper boats to wear on his head or sail down the stream. He still makes paper boats for children, but his paper boats today are a lot more complex and actually a bit seaworthy, too. They will float if tossed onto water.
