  Ometeotl   first friend of affine

Once a hushed name, an infamous warlord tearing apart Timelines to instate them under his banner, Ometeotl was briefly the COR's public enemy number one. No army they scrounged up seemed capable of besting him and his followers, who had seemingly shed the inherent idealism Fragments hold. But, as the COR elites' desperation was beginning to overtake their sense, Shestiugolnik swept in and dethroned Ometeotl in a fell swoop, stripping most of his magic and denouncing him and his followers. Like rats, his devotees scattered.

As he fell from grace, all he could wonder: 'why?'

After several years a carefully-watched recluse, he shook the Frag world again when he indicated interest in joining the COR. Overseer Jubilee himself approved the application, and Ome gained a low-level job disenchanting corrupted or cursed artifacts the COR acquired: menial and carefully-watched.

He was not here to repent. Rather, deeply fascinated by the Magnitude Fragments, he wanted access to the COR's extensive research and archives on them. He found his answers in a Mag-influenced knife, enchanted to cut through pure diamond only: whatever pitiful actions the lesser Frags thought they were doing with the world paled in comparison to the Mags' greater machinations.

But when he arrived at the Hive, interested in working alongside Sessy, he found himself disgusted. Embroiled in solving personal mortal conflicts, there was no great overarching plan within the Hive. There was no effort poured towards reversing the inherent suffering of the world. But, while there, he overheard Sessy mention a new Mag in passing - Affine - and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Though distant, cold, and passive, he has given Affine what his heart desires most: companionship. Building up a cult of interest around the young Mag, he has hope that one day Affine will develop into a proper god - the kind the Mags should aspire to be - and lead the world down a better, stronger path. He makes no presumptions about what this path may be - for he is only a Frag, and cannot begin to assume to know the true nature of reality.

Still, it's hard not to slip and nearly impose his worldview on Affine's. Though he didn't intend to, he found himself endeared and attached to the other, amused by his social awkwardness and finding innocence in his naivety. He fears his emotional weakness - an unfamiliar sensation - may sour Affine's growth....
