For the most part Mayu is a very polite person who does her best to respect her seniors. That said, she's also not someone who will let others walk all over her and she's fully capable of speaking her mind. Mayu is an over all strong person who doesn't flinch from conflict, though she admits to strongly disliking confrontation even if she won't run from it. Mayu is the type of person to jump onto problems as soon as they happen rather than procrastinate, and she much prefers to try and even get ahead of things before they become problems. Sometimes, though, this can cause even more issues. That said she shouldn't be mistaken for a highly strict person. In fact she does everything with a smile.
Despite her determind and hardworking personality, she's much more relaxed in her personal life. She keeps up a professional facade for work, but Mayu is also a person who does enjoy relaxing when she can find the time. In fact, though she can sometimes be a bit scary, those who know her outside of work often believe she's a rather sweet person. Mayu simply holds high expectations and wants everyone to be the best they can be.
Mayu's childhood was very normal all things considered. She grew up in a loving family and wasn't necessarily fantastic at school, but she wasn't someone who struggled either. Mayu did join a few clubs in high school, but she was never the type of person to pile up responsibilities to the point that she would stress herself out. Around this time she would develop a strong passion for both writing and music, but was always unsure about which to pursue in life. Though she loved creative writing she feared it becoming a job rather than a hobby and losing that passion. Similarly with music, as much as she loved it, she had no desire to perform for others and would rather keep it a hobby. Her direction in life was something she struggled with for a long while.
It was during a job fair, one day, that Mayu would finally decide on what to do. With her strong passion for music she fell in love with idols quickly as well, but it never occured to her everything that went on behind the scenes. Stage direction, managing, cheoragraphy, and so many other things went into producing a successful performance. Even though Mayu never wanted to perform on stage herself, the idea of helping others achieve that wish was something she became intersted in. From that point on, though it wouldn't be an easy road, Mayu decided to do her best to one day become a manager for those who wanted to see their dreams come true.
Seeing the heights that various idol groups were beginning to achieve Mayu found herself wanting to help other aspiring idols to reach their dreams as well. Eventually she would become employed at a certain agency (one that met her own personal requirements as well) and be tasked with managing a group of idols herself. She'd quickly learn the challenges associated with such a task, especially that of bringing together so many different personalities into one cohesive group, but she would never lose her determination.
One of the idols Mayu manages. Hibiki was the first one she met on coincedence when he helped her carry some boxes into the office. She was surprised by his cheerful and charming attitude, but even more impressed by his singing talent.
One of the idols Mayu manages. She was unsure about how Junpei would do as an idol at first, worrying that he might try too hard and burn himself out, but she quickly realized that his determiend attitude and resolve to never give up was an asset rather than a hinderance.
One of the idols Mayu manages. Mayu related to Kyo's struggles with stage fright, and his desire to get over it, so she worked hard to help him overcome his fear. Kyo was grateful to her of course and the two get along very well. Kyo is often the one who tries to gather the others for her and keep them in line, so she finds that he's the least likely one to cause trouble. She often goes to either him or Rei when she needs to talk about something.
One of the idols Mayu manages. Mayu was the most uncertain about Rei and his personality for awhile, but his passion for music was undeniable. Once Mayu was able to find common ground with him (a passion for music) the two got along well and she felt that he'd really finally found a place to belong.
Out of all the Afterlight memebers Mayu was most concerned of Yuuma. She could tell there was something more to him, something that made her want to keep him as a member, but he was so difficult to read and almost impossible to get information from she wondered if he was taking this whole thing seriously. Of course she eventually got through to him and understood he was passionate about this as well, but it was a rocky road in the beginning.
