Background

Admittedly, Cat doesn’t remember her roots too well. She just knows that she was a normal-appearing cat until around 2-3 years ago. Who are her parents? Where is she from? Those questions don’t matter to her. All that matters to her is the here and now. She wound up in Lakewood at Salem’s place, at first just posing as a stray cat, but later revealed her shapeshifter identity. Their family has let her reside there since, and she has formed a particularly strong bond with Salem.

Abilities

As a Bakeneko, she is able to shapeshift between human and cat. There are said to be other abilities of bakenekos, but Cat doesn’t know if she has any of them. What she does know about is her shapeshifting abilities. Unlike the werewolves, her shapeshifting isn’t limited by the moon. She can very quickly shift between her human and cat form whenever she pleases, and it isn’t very hard to change either. However, if she does it too much, it will drain her energy and tire her out. One part she isn’t able to shapeshift away are her cat ears, which will remain even when entirely human. She isn’t really sure why it is, but she just accepts it as is.

In her cat form, being smaller, she doesn’t have as much physical strength as her human form. However, her smaller size makes it significantly easier for her to squeeze through tight spaces, and be held by others. Her agility is also greatly increased. Cat also has claws, but tends to not use them when in human form.

Trivia

• Cat is a bit of a pyromaniac, constantly making arson jokes and always carrying around a lighter. Whether or not she actually wants to commit arson, that is the question.
• In addition to arson jokes, she also makes frequent jokes about overthrowing the government.
• Cat has absolutely no idea of what to label her identity, she’s just positive she’s not straight.
• It is a somewhat common occurrence for her to steal Salem’s clothes, usually their oversized sweaters.
