Extended BIO:

Garde grew up in Marsevero, right on the edge of the loading docks with his siblings, Panic and Hal, and their parents. He watched shipments enter in and out of the wealthy town every day of his life and he always wondered where they went. What adventures they would go on to eventually wind back up right at the same spot every week. His parents knew that he had the heart of an adventurer, but he didn't boast much for physical strength. He made up for it in his natural intellect, though.

Garde grew up very close to his mom. She always stayed close with him, listened to his stories from school, encouraged him when he began to grow an interest in tinkering, and, of course, loved him to no end. So when she went missing when he was 8, it crushed him. Something didn't feel right about it. She wouldn't just leave. She was in trouble! He had to help! Unfortunately, a little 8 year old boy couldn't help much to find a missing woman who was hundreds of miles away, so he had to stay back with the rest of his grieving family. Garde never stopped believing his mom was still out somewhere in the world, waiting to be found. His belief wound him up in arguments with his sister and father, who only wanted Garde to drop the notion so he wouldn't keep hurting himself and learn to move on, but Garde was stubborn.

At age 12, he had gotten very skilled in inventing and tinkering under the wings of his sister and father. While working on an invention, something happened. The details are fuzzy to the tiefling, because once he came to after the mishap, his arm had been blown off and his ears were ringing. Panic fixed him up with a new arm and he even made some modifications to it later in life.

Garde got exceptional grades and was an overall good kid in the eyes of the community, although every once and while, he would try to travel to find his mom or see her in the town, usually bringing attention back to the controversy of his mother's disappearance again. One time, after a week of no sleep, he hallucinated he saw his mother in a busy town square, causing a scene and resisting arrest from guards. He wasn't given a punishment due to his clean record and sickly state, but it is a situation Garde is embarrassed to bring up again.
