Extended BIO:

There are small rumors that circle small towns throughout the lands, one of a man who lurks in the shadows of the night in the woods. This man has only been seen in flashes or momentary glances, as within moments he’s vanished back into his solitude. The only evidence he leaves are the lifeless bodies of his victims, those including locals, farmers, and most commonly, livestock. Some even report their entire farms being slaughtered!

After decades of simply meandering the world, going from town to town, only stopping to satisfy his hunger, Sullivan Underwood stumbles across a mysterious town, one he’s only heard of in the passing conversations of others. The town is barely blooming, but its origins are already shrouded in mystery. When Sullivan arrives, he’s greeted by a group of wandering men and women, armed with rudimentary weapons and pistols. They introduce themselves as hunters and that beasts are beginning to sprout in the town by a mysterious disease that they need to eliminate before it becomes an issue. Sullivan inquires where he can  apply for such a position, and the hunters reply by putting a pistol in his palm and lead him into the town.

Sullivan catches up quickly in the hunt. For a while, his fighting with beasts were limited, as Ludwig’s hunters took care of those. However, Sullivan was involved in a lot of the minor work in the church, which wound up working in his favor. He was present during a discussion about a new rising threat to the Healing Church; Vilebloods. He heard their blood was tainted and threatened the healing the Church provided. Taking it as an opportunity to not only be of help, but for a bit more fun and a few more snacks, Sullivan volunteered to be a part of tacking down and slaughtering these Vilebloods. From then on, Sullivan became an Executioner.

Sullivan fought in the war against the Vilebloods, becoming one of the only two survivors along with Logarious. He returned to the Church, being heavily praised and honored for his work. During hunting periods, rumors of more powerful beings residing in tombs underneath the city began brewing, and Sullivan soon became the lead hunter in going through Chalice Dungeons. Although, his status of an Executioner still lived on, as hunts with him were a death sentence to all that went by the sword and teeth of the hunter himself. The expeditions were a ploy by the Church to eliminate weak or defiant hunters and followers, leaving them as prey to the ravenous cannibal.

With the experiments of the Healing Church reaching a peak, Sullivan was called to come out of the Dungeons and fend off remaining beasts and other hunters standing in the way of their findings. He did as he was told, although he was graciously offered a chance to witness a massive discovery the Church uncovered; the location of an Old One. The Old One was located at a fishing hamlet where local residents surely knew the God’s location. Sullivan never stepped foot in the hamlet, but he could sense the slaughters and screams of the villagers as they were experimented, killed, and tortured from where he was in Yharnam. The Healing Church was reaching points of pure madness, as major figures in the Church were beginning to show signs of the scourge and there were quickly becoming more beasts than residents in the town.

From the chaos, Gherman introduced the Hunter’s Dream, a place where hunters can work their skills and always revive after defeat, at the price that they remain a loyal hunter. Seeing no other future for himself outside of Yharnam, Sullivan became branded with the Hunter’s Mark.

Now, as many of the old hunters have fallen and sent to a hellish dream, Sullivan still lives, unable to die due to the Mark. Overcome with guilt and regret for his actions in the Dungeons and as an Old Hunter, he acts as a guide to new hunters exploring the depths of Yharnam for the first time. He is much calmer, less blood-thirsty, and aims to somehow redeem himself in the eyes of the Old Ones. He will never leave the dream, and he knows that. And he is at peace with it.
