Personality: Max dislikes the memory holes and searches to find answers to where his family went. He's quiet and lonely, but watchful and loves nothing more than building things with his companion, Bug, in an attempt to get things working for paws. He has several dozen half-built things in his cave that he could explain exactly what his intentions were. Most don't work of course, but a few random bits do. He's inventive, creative and loves nothing more than to hunt for ideas and parts to build his next best invention. Typically, his ideas are how to carry/use tools a tonttu can use with ease, or things that makes life easier, like trying to build an aqueduct from the nearby river to his cave. Tends to ignore his personal needs, so Bug annoys him until he listens to her.

History: Max's early life is a mystery to him, though he knows something happened to cause his memory loss. Vague memories of always being 'shushed' and never settling in one cave for long.  Warmth and kindness, but the aura of fear and anxiety laced the air. Mostly, he remembers screams and the sound of humans. He remembers pain and thorn bushes, but little else. He was discovered by a pair of traveling leopards and the cubless mother simply picked him up and took him with them. The pair raised him for a time, but the granthrow was different enough he didn't fully fit in. Max learned how to climb and hunt as a panther, however, and enjoyed his new-found family, but always wondered what happened to his old one. When he was deemed old enough, his surrogate parents let him free to find his own territory and family. He tried to trace his way back to where they half-recalled finding him, but there were too many human settlements there now. Max skulked through the brushes as only a leopard-trained gran can and watched, intrigued by their ingenuity. The more he watched, the more Max was interested in trying to make something himself. At one camp, he noticed a couple of kumpanni in cages and realized he needed to free them. One was badly wounded in the escape and another chose to stay with Max and help him nurse the other one back to health. Once the dark furred tonttu was well enough, he thanked them and left, but Bug stayed, content to become a companion to Max.

In his wanderings, Max found the half-eaten body of a lion tamarin, but his ears picked up a tiny scuffling and discovered an infant in the nearby bushes. Gree decided Max was an adequate surrogate and has clung to him ever since. As he grew, the little monkey loves nothing more than helping Bug build things with Max. No matter his age, Max retains a child-like enthusiasm in regards to exploration - he's often out for days, or even weeks - and love of building things, not caring if they don't work. He'll simply try again. Max has created a way to keep his cave hidden from prying eyes and has settled down, happily ensconced in his creations.

At some point, Bug found a demoni egg and brought it home in her foraging. Instead of a bird they expected, it hatched in Max's paws and turned out to be a strange lizard. Gree promptly cuddled it and named it Tot, refusing to allow Max or Bug to eat it. As a result, the demoni kind of sees Gree as a parent, but love the rest of its strange little family as much as anyone could.
