Kalle’s been my best friend since we were kids. We understand each other and what we each went through; I think the most profound thing that happened to each of us was when our younger brothers were born, so becoming big brothers ourselves deepened our understanding. We also formed a band in high school and we’re still going strong.
Kalle is also the biggest foodie I’ve ever met. He took cooking very seriously and that’s where his dream of being a chef and restaurant owner stemmed from. When we were in college; even though we had different majors he’d still come visit my folks and try some new recipes with them. Of course, I’d help in the kitchen myself.
Anyway, I admire his work ethic and attention to details. Kalle’s focus is razor sharp and I firmly believe that will take him very far in his career. Kalle, however, can be easily stressed out if things don't go according to plan. I appreciate the fact he confides in me whenever he's about to panic. It’s an honor to consider him my best friend.
Sutton has been my best friend when we were kids, and I've always appreciated his loyalty and rationale. We always had each other's backs. When we were kids, he once told me he could be the president someday and while every kid had that dream to make a difference in their world, Sutton never lost sight of that. You could see that ambition in his eyes. We were roommates in college and I remember the all-nighters he'd pull for his political science classes, which made it easier for me to keep him fueled by cooking every night; Sutton has a discerning palette for food. He also knew some things about business and helped me for my business management classes; if it weren't for him, I'd go nuts with running my restaurant by now since I'm very prone to stress.
Genevieve has my utmost respect as someone who has won the heart of my best friend. As something of a mother figure, Gen puts the needs of others before her own; examples being how she is with her stepsister and her friends. As a nurse, Gen oversees the needs of her patients day in and day out. Service and devotion are admirable qualities to have, yet Genevieve can overextend herself without knowing. Her perseverance is her best asset, that’s for certain. Still, I wonder how she can accomplish so much with the little time she’s given. The only things that's off-putting is her way of getting me to talk about my personal issues; that's for only me to know, I'm afraid.
Sutton has unwavering loyalty towards Kalle given their long history together. If there's anything about Kalle I'm not sure about, then rest assured Sutton has the answers. It's sometimes hard to hold a conversation with Sutton mostly because he's not exactly the open type. I want to know him a little better, but then again I can come off as a little pushy.
The younger brother of my best friend...unlike Kalle, though; Atti is more lenient and somewhat rambunctious. That would make sense to have balance between contrasting personalities in brothers considering my younger brother and I are like that as well. While he may appear carefree, Atti can take things seriously although has a funny way of showing it. He’s not afraid to speak what’s on his mind and stand up for what he believes in, which is something we both have in common given our interests line up. In any case, Atti is someone I can count on.
Sutton's been my brother's best friend for as long as I can remember. I looked up to him as a kid and I'm happy to say he's still the coolest guy I know given he allowed his hardships to strengthen him rather than developing bitterness and resentment to control his life. He's not the type who easily admits defeat. I guess seeing his unwavering strength firsthand drove me to try new things and see the world for myself. Okay; I've made some mistakes along the way but I can always turn to Sutton for advice on anything I need.
The one thing we have in common is taking our work seriously. As a music producer, Blaze has no trouble taking control over sound quality and working with artists that come to his studio. He knows what’s best for his clients, if you will. There’s just no stopping him from reaching his goals.
We also play saxophone and if our schedules permit we play in a community saxophone quartet during the summer with Blaze on tenor and myself on alto.
I respect Blaze as a fellow musician and happy to consider him a friend.
I've never met anyone more ambitious than Sutton. His rationale is second to none. True; I work in the music industry but his field of work has a strong influence over mine. Most songs are influenced or inspired by politics. As a member of 5tar5truck, his stage presence is outstanding. We also play in a saxophone quartet with another friend of ours. Overall, Sutton's great company.
Cat is a living paradox, to put it briefly. She seems to have different personas for each situation and yet retains a gentle and meek demeanor, never drawing any unnecessary attention to herself. Her inner strength, from what I’ve observed, tends to fluctuate because of how she carries herself. While gentleness and humility are admirable traits, I’m afraid that’ll only take her part of the way. Cat has a strong influence over each of her friends and yet she isn’t aware of that. I, on the other hand, want to encourage her to use her best asset - her influence, I mean. True, she’s not one for controlling others so to speak, but from what I’ve seen her discernment and wisdom has made numerous positive impacts in peoples’ lives; simply by watching those she’s guided make those choices for themselves is rewarding in and of itself. However, it's hard to watch someone stand up for themselves when they don't know how or rather their best isn't good enough, but it's even harder to watch her be afflicted with defeat. In this case, she needs to understand the power of her judgement and execute it with precision. I think this is her struggling area right here because whenever she's put on the spot that visible discomfort can be her downfall. I believe Cat can be a phenomenal leader given she is confident in her own abilities and apply her best assets well. Knowing she's in my life, I feel it's my duty to ensure her safety from the injustice that I face at my job almost every day - politics is a dirty business and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty in that matter.
When it’s just me and her, Cat is a curious one; she will ask me a lot of questions and I try my best to answer. We also like to walk around and try new things given our schedules line up favorably. I’m usually very busy, but it’s nice to have Cat encourage me on my most stressful days. Sometimes she’ll bring me ice cream when she’s working at the farmer’s market, in exchange for helping her cover her shift when needed.
One last thing: if anyone plans to hurt her, they will have to answer to me.
Sometimes it’s hard to read what’s on Sutton’s mind, mainly because he’s not an open book. He observes me so intently and while that may be uncomfortable for most people, I honestly don’t mind it at all. Sometimes I wonder what he knows about me but I don’t like to pry if it’s Sutton we’re talking about. Anyway, I admire his unwavering willpower and calm strength; it’s like nothing can phase him. It probably takes a lot to ruffle his feathers, but I don’t want to cross that bar. I heard he’s scary when angered but not in a typically aggressive way; Sutton is too smart to resort to physical violence, but that’s as far as I know. Sutton isn’t one who shows any signs of vulnerability, but we’re all human and it’s okay to feel that way; even the strongest people have their weak moments.
From what I’ve heard, Sutton works in political science; I’m not too keen on the subject but I believe Sutton can make a phenomenal difference in our world given his courage and stability. Sometimes when it’s just the two of us, Sutton may look like a personal bodyguard but really he’s more than just that - I see him as someone to connect with, and the feeling is mutual.
